القهوة تقلل الإصابة بسرطان الثدي


وجدت دراسة سويدية جديدة أن هواة القهوة من النساء لا يتمتعن فقط بمذاقها المفضل لديهن، بل ويتمتعن أيضا بانخفاض مخاطر الإصابة بسرطان الثدي بحسب بيان "بيوميد سنترال".
وأظهرت الدراسة التي أجراها باحثون بمعهد كارولينسكا الطبي ونشرت حصيلتها مؤخرا بدورية "أبحاث سرطان الثدي"، أن شرب القهوة يخفض تحديدا مخاطر سرطان الثدي الذي لا يستجيب للعلاج بمضادات هرمون الأستروجين.
وقارن الباحثون السويديون بين أنماط المعيشة بما فيها مستويات استهلاك القهوة لدى النساء المريضات بسرطان الثدي ونظيراتهن في العمر غير المصابات به, فوجدوا أن النساء اللاتي يشربن القهوة بانتظام أقل تعرضا للإصابة بالسرطان من اللاتي نادرا ما يشربنها.
لكنهم وجدوا أيضا عوامل أخرى متصلة بنمط المعيشة لها دور في احتمالات ومعدلات الإصابة بسرطان الثدي، كالعمر عند انقطاع الطمث، والنشاط البدني، والتعليم، والوراثة.
وبعد احتساب تأثير هذه العوامل على بياناتهم الخاصة بمخاطر السرطان، وجد الباحثون أن الأثر الوقائي لاستهلاك القهوة على سرطان الثدي يمكن قياسه بشكل ملموس بالنسبة لنوع سرطان الثدي المقاوم للعلاج بمضادات هرمون الأستروجين تحديدا.
ويقول فريق معهد كارولينسكا إن هناك غالبا معلومات متضاربة عن التأثيرات المفيدة للقهوة, فعندما قارنوا نتائج دراستهم بنتائج دراسة أخرى ألمانية اكتشفوا أن بيانات ومعطيات الدراسة الألمانية أظهرت نفس الوتيرة أو الاتجاه، لكن علاقة الارتباط كانت أضعف بكثير.
ويرى الباحثون أن هذا قد يكون أمرا متصلا بطريقة تحضير القهوة أو بنوع حبوب القهوة المفضلة.
ومن غير المرجح أن يعود التأثير الوقائي للقهوة إلى الأستروجين النباتي الموجود بالقهوة، لأنه ليس هناك انخفاض في معدل الإصابة بنوع سرطان الثدي الذي يستجيب للعلاج بمضادات الأستروجين في هذه الدراسة.
وبينما يظهر بوضوح أن للقهوة تأثيرات مفيدة لوقاية النساء من سرطان الثدي المقاوم للعلاج بمضادات الأستروجين، يبقى من غير الواضح الآلية البيولوجية المحددة للوقاية والمركبات الكيميائية المتصلة بها، وليس كل أنواع القهوة سواء.
