اختلفت آراء المشاركين في منتدى الإعلام العربي المنعقد في دبي، بين من يرى أنه يمكن خلق علاقة تكاملية بين الإعلام الاجتماعي التفاعلي وبين الإعلام التقليدي، وطرف آخر يرى أن الأخير في طريقه لينتزع من الأول أهم مساحاته ويظهر أكثـر جرأة وسرعة وقدرة على التواصل مع الإنسان العربي في كل مكان. ظهر هذا النقاش في الجلسة الرابعة التي ناقشت موضوع ”العرب بين تحديات التغيير السياسي والتغيير الإعلامي”، والتي أقيمت بالتعاون مع قناة العربية الفضائية. وقال المشاركون إن هناك شراكة بين الإعلام التواصلي الجديد وبين الإعلام التقليدي مع عدم إنكار دور الأول في الحركات التي شهدتها المنطقة خلال الأشهر الماضية.. وأشاروا إلى أنه عندما تغيب المعلومة ويمنع الإعلام الأجنبي من العمل، فإن الشعب يقوم بحمل كاميراته وهواتفه ويضع الأخبار على شبكة الأنترنت، وهو ما يحتم وجود آليات للتأكد من صحة الأخبار التي يتم تداولها بناء على هذه الحالات وفقاً لآليات وطرق متنوعة. حيث إن العديد من الشباب قاموا بافتتاح قنوات على اليوتيوب وقدموا خلالها برامج ساخرة سياسية بعد أن رفضتهم قنوات رئيسية ويتبعهم مئات الآلاف من المشاهدين. ولاحظ المتدخلون أن الإعلام التقليدي مازال يحظى بنسب مشاهدة عالية مقارنة مع الإعلام الجديد، دون إغفال أن هناك إقبالا كبيرا وسريعا على شبكات التواصل الاجتماعي.. لأنه كلما أدى التغيير السياسي والاجتماعي إلى تغيير في البيئة التي تعمل فيها وسائل الإعلام، تصبح هذه الأخيرة حديثة ومتطورة وتعمل وفق معايير حرية أكبر، ويكون هذا على حساب وسائط التواصل الاجتماعي. قبل ذلك نالت وثائق موقع ”ويكيليكس” اهتمام المشاركين والمتحدثين في الجلسة الثانية ”نهاية عصر السرية”، التي شارك فيها كل من مات بوستروم من أبكو أون لاين بالولايات المتحدة، وحسني عبيدي، مدير مركز الدراسات والأبحاث حول العالم والمتوسط، وسيلفي كوفمان، رئيسة تحرير صحيفة ”لوموند” الفرنسية، وتحدثت كوفمان حول الشراكة التي قامت بين لوموند وويكيليكس بشأن عدد من الوثائق، مشيرة إلى أنه تم الاتفاق مع ويكيليكس على حرية لوموند في كيفية نشر الوثائق وانتقائها لما تراه مناسبا كي تنشره بعد التأكد منه والتحقيق حوله.
وقالت إن الوثائق التي تحدثت عن مساجين غوانتنامو تم التوصل إلى الأشخاص الحقيقيين وعرض الملفات عليهم والتحقيق معهم ونشر الحقائق كاملة، ولم يتم الاكتفاء فقط بما قدمته ويكيلكس، مؤكدة في الوقت ذاته أن لوموند نشرت 3000 برقية دبلوماسية من أصل 250 ألف برقية دبلوماسية توفرت لها عبر ويكيليكس. حيث ستنشر عشرات الآلاف من البرقيات مستقبلا.
وقال حسني عبيدي إن قيمة ويكيليكس تأتي من مبدأ وجودها في ظل كساد إعلامي في العالم العربي، ولا يرى ضرورة أخرى لتلك الضجة والأهمية التي قوبلت بها في العالم العربي.
