"الميت" يهدد بإغراق فنادق إسرائيلية وضرب البيئة والسياحة

في الوقت الذي تتناقص فيه مياه البحر الميت بسرعة كبيرة نتيجة قيام إسرائيل بمنع وصول معظم المياه التي تغذيه من مصادرها، فإن البركة الجنوبية (رقم 5) من هذا البحر المقسّم إلى عدة برك صناعية، والتي تقع في الجانب الإسرائيلي، تشهد ارتفاعاً للمياه بنسبة 20 سم تقريباً في كل عام.

هذا الارتفاع ليس ناجماً عن عامل ازدياد كمية المياه، فمياهه آخذة في التبخر بشكل كبير بسبب عوامل مناخية وعوامل صناعية من فعل الإنسان، لكنه ناجم عن ازدياد الرواسب والأملاح في قاع البركة، ما يؤدي إلى دفع المياه إلى أعلى.

وللتوضيح فالأمر أشبه بوجود كمية من المياه داخل وعاء، فإذا تم إلقاء حجارة داخل هذا الوعاء، فإن الماء يرتفع إلى الأعلى رغم أن كميته لا تزداد.

وبات ارتفاع المياه في البركة الجنوبية يشكل تهديداً حقيقياً للفنادق الإسرائيلية المقامة على مقربة منها، فهذه الفنادق مهددة بالغرق ما لم يتم إيجاد حل جذري لمشكلة ارتفاع المياه، ما جعل الوزارات المسؤولة في المؤسسة الإسرائيلية تسارع إلى وضع خطة لمنع الكارثة التي ستشكل تهديداً حقيقياً لقطاع السياحة وللبيئة، علماً بأن البحر الميت من أبرز المعالم السياحية والرئيسية التي تستفيد منها إسرائيل، بل هو من أبرز المعالم في العالم.

وذكرت صحيفة "هآرتس" الإسرائيلية في تقرير لها حول الموضوع الأربعاء 18-5-2011، أنه على ضوء هذه التطورات قام خبراء إسرائيليون بوضع مقترحات وخطط، قاموا بتقديمها لوزير السياحة الإسرائيلي ستاتس مسيزينكوف، الذي سيتوجب عليه الاختيار بين خيارين أساسيين تم تقديمهما إليه، وسيرفع توصيته للحكومة الإسرائيلية خلال الأسبوع المقبل.

أحد الحلول المطروحة بعد تفكير عميق هو هدم الفنادق ونقلها إلى مكان أكثر ارتفاعاً، في حين أن البديل الذي يبدو أنه سيكون أوفر حظاً يقتضي القيام بجرف الأملاح المترسبة في قاع البركة ونقلها إلى الجزء الشمالي من البحر الميت، ما سيؤدي إلى انخفاض المياه، لكن تبقى الحسابات اقتصادية بالأساس، يضاف إليها حسابات بيئية.

وقد أوصى طاقم خبراء من الشركة الحكومية لحماية البحر الميت بأن مشروع جمع الملح من قاع البركة هو الطريقة الأكثر أماناً للبيئة، في حين يتعارض هذا الطرح مع طرح مسؤولين في وزارة المالية الإسرائيلية، الذين يميلون إلى هدم الفنادق ونقلها، لاعتقادهم بأن هذه الطريقة ستكون أقل كلفة على المدى البعيد، ما يضع وزير السياحة الإسرائيلي بين خيارين، أحلاهما سيكون مكلفاً كثيراً، وسيؤدي إلى أضرار بيئية كبيرة في البحر الميت ومحيطه، الذي فقد الكثير من توازناته وخصائصه بسبب تدخل الإنسان وكثرة المصانع التي تستفيد من مستحضرات البحر الميت من المعادن والأملاح وغيرها.
