الرئيس اليمني علي عبدالله صالح يدعو إلى انتخابات رئاسية مبكرة

دعا الرئيس اليمني علي عبد الله صالح اليوم، الجمعة 20-5-2011 لإجراء انتخابات رئاسية مبكرة حقنا لدماء أبناء شعبه ، مجددا وصفه المظاهرات بأنها محاولة للانقلاب على الشرعية متهما الثوار بالعمالة.

ولم يتطرق صالح خلال كلمته لجموع مؤيديه في الذكرى الـ21 لقيام الوحدة اليمنية في 22 مايو/أيار 1990إلى المبادرة الخليجية أو موعد توقيعها، رغم أن مصادر مطلعة في حزب المؤتمر الشعبي الحاكم، كانت قد أكدت امس إن الرئيس صالح سيوقع على المبادرة الخليجية الأحد المقبل .


وأشارت المصادر المطلعة إلى أن التوقيع على الاتفاق سيتم بصنعاء بحضور الامين العام لمجلس التعاون الخليجي عبداللطيف الزياني وسفراء دول مجلس التعاون المعتمدين بصنعاء.

وأعلن الرئيس الامريكي باراك أوباما، الخميس، في خطاب عن الشرق الأوسط أن مساعي الشباب والثورات في المنطقة العربية تمكنت من إسقاط رئيسين ديكتاتوريين وهناك آخرين سيسقطون, داعياً الرئيس اليمني الى تنفيذ وعده بانتقال السلطة.

وتعليقاً على خطاب أوباما، أكد مصدر، فضل عدم الكشف عن اسمه، أن الرئيس صالح يفهم مغزى الرسالة الامريكية وبالتالي فإنه بات أقرب الى توقيع المبادرة من السير في طريق تفجير الوضع كما اعتقد البعض استناداً الى خطابه المتشنج الجمعة الماضية أمام مؤيديه في ميدان السبعين والذي قال فيه إن انصاره لن يقفوا مكتوفي الايدي وستدعمهم المؤسسة العسكرية.

وكان موقع "بلومبرغ" الامريكي نقل عن المستشار السياسي للرئيس صالح والنائب الثاني لرئيس حزب المؤتمر الحاكم الدكتور عبدالكريم الارياني قوله: "إن الاطراف اليمنية ستوقع الاحد على المبادرة الخليجية لنقل السلطة".

وفي السياق ذاته نقلت مصادر إعلامية عن قيادي في المعارضة اليمنية قوله إن أحزاب اللقاء المشترك تلقت معلومات بأن وزراء خارجية دول مجلس التعاون سيعقدون اجتماعاً طارئاً السبت القادم لبحث الازمة اليمنية.

والى ذلك لفتت المصادر الى أن حزب المؤتمر الحاكم في اليمن يحشد لأكبر تجمع سيشهده ميدان السبعين بصنعاء منذ انطلاق التظاهرات الاحتجاجية في البلاد، وذلك في جمعة 22 مايو التي توافق "الذكرى الـ21 للوحدة اليمنية"، بحسب ما سماها أنصار الرئيس.

وفيما كان الرئيس صالح قد أغفل تماماً في جمعتين سابقتين الحديث عن المبادرة الخليجية, ذكرت مصادر صحافية مطلعة أن الرئيس أبلغ الامين العام لمجلس التعاون الخليجي وسفراء الدول الخليجية بصنعاء عند امتناعه عند التوقيع عن المبادرة الخليجية امس الاربعاء قائلاً: "لن أوقع على قطع رأسي".
