بكتيريا مميتة تثير الهلع في ألمانيا


تسود أجواء من الهلع الشديد بين المواطنين الألمان بسبب الانتشار الكبير لعدوى أشرشيا القولونية النزفية المعروفة بـ"أي أتش أي سي" المسببة لإسهال دموي وفشل كلوي، حيث وصل عدد حالات الوفاة بهذه البكتيريا المميتة إلى تسعة أشخاص، فيما تجاوز عدد المصابين بها أكثر من 1000 حالة.

وأعلنت وزارتا الصحة المحليتان في ولايتيْ هامبورغ وشليزفيج هولشتاين بشمالي ألمانيا -حيث ظهرت وتركزت الإصابات بالبكتيريا- اكتشاف حوالي مائتي حالة عدوى جديدة أمس السبت، وحدوث حالة وفاة ليرتفع بذلك عدد الوفيات بعدوى البكتيريا إلى ثماني سيدات ورجل واحد.

واعتبرت وزارة الصحة في ولاية شليزفيجهولشتاين -التي تنتشر فيها البكتيريا المعوية- أن المستوى الحالي للعدوى في البلاد لم يصل إلى مرحلة الوباء، وأشارت إلى أن بؤرة العدوى تتركز في شمال ألمانيا وأكثر حالات الإصابات بها هي بين النساء.
وتوقع المعهد الألماني لتقييم الأخطار الصحية في برلين تزايد حالات الإصابة بالبكتيريا المسببة للالتهاب المعوي الشديد.
وانتشرت البكتيريا الخطيرة -التي تسبب التهابات معوية حادة- في شمال ألمانيا منذ منتصف ماي الجاري، وتظهر أعراضها فورا على شكل غثيان وقيء وإسهال دموي شديد، وفشل كلوي حاد قد يفضي إلى الوفاة.
وذكر بيان أصدره معهد روبرت كوخ للأبحاث والتحاليل الطبية "أن هذه العدوى البكتيرية توجد في أمعاء الماشية، ومن المحتمل انتقالها إلى الإنسان من خلال لحوم أو ألبان هذه الماشية".
ولفت إلى إمكانية وصول البكتيريا الخطيرة للبشر أيضا عبر الخضراوات الملوثة بالسماد الحيواني الموجود في التربة.
وأوضح بيان المعهد أن بكتيريا "أي أتش أي سي" تختلف بأعراضها الخطيرة عن بكتيريا مشابهة يصاب بها في ألمانيا سنويا نحو 1000 شخص وليست لها أعراض ضارة سوى الإسهال.
وقالت الباحثة في معهد روبرت كوخ سوزانا غلاسماخر إن "تشابه هذه البكتيريا مع البكتيريا النافعة الموجودة في أمعاء الإنسان، يتيح للأولى التسلل إلى الأمعاء الغليظة بلا مقاومة من الجهاز المناعي في الجسم، ويحول دون علاج هذه البكتيريا الخطيرة بالمضادات الحيوية".

وأوضحت غلاسماخر أن "محاولة القضاء على أي أتش أي سي بالمضادات الحيوية تؤدي لزيادة السموم التي تفرزها هذه البكتيريا واشتداد حدة الأعراض المرضية، مما يسبب تدمير كرات الدم الحمر والأوعية الدموية للكليتين، وحدوث فشل كلوي حاد و مفاجئ".
وأعلنت السلطات الصحية في هامبورغ أن تحليلاتها أظهرت اكتشاف البكتيريا المذكورة في خيار ورد إلى سوق المدينة الكبير من إسبانيا، وعلى إثره أوقفت ولاية السار جميع واردتها من الخضراوات الإسبانية.
ونصح معهد روبرت كوخ -الذي يعد أعلى جهة صحية في ألمانيا- مواطني البلاد بعدم أكل الخيار والطماطم والخس والفلفل إلا بعد غسلها جيدا وطهيها.
ورغم اتجاه خيوط البحث عن مصدر "أي أتش أي سي" إلى إسبانيا، فإن انتشار عدوى هذه البكتيريا المميتة أثر على كل مبيعات الخضراوات في ألمانيا.
وألقى مزارعون بهامبورغ وشليزفيج هولشتاين بكميات ضخمة من الخيار والطماطم في أسواق القمامة بعد التراجع الحاد في الإقبال عليها في الولايتين وفي باقي الولايات الألمانية.
وأظهر استطلاع للرأي نشرته صحيفة بيلد أم زونتاغ الصادرة اليوم الأحد أن 58% من الألمان عبروا عن استعدادهم للتخلي عن أكل الخضراوات، لتجنب الإصابة بعدوى البكتيريا المسببة للالتهابات المعوية الخطيرة.
ولم يستبعد أشهر العلماء الألمان في علم ميكروبولوجيا الخلية البروفيسور ألكسندر كيكولي وجود "مخطط إرهابي" وراء انتشار بكتيريا المذكورة في ألمانيا، وقال -في مقابلة مع صحيفة دي فيلت- إن "نشر العدوى بواسطة الخضراوات يعكس سيناريو تقليديا لهجمة إرهابية تقليدية".
وكانت المفوضية الأوروبية قد أعلنت اكتشاف حالات إصابة جديدة بعدوى "أي أتش أي سي" في خمس دول أوروبية، هي الدانمارك والسويد وهولندا وبريطانيا والنمسا إضافة لألمانيا.
