قرار إداري يمنع ديكاً من الصياح صباحاً

يسبب الديك كولن الذي يقطن إحدى المزارع البريطانية إحراجاً شديداً لمالكيه، وذلك بسبب صياحه اليومي قبل الموعد الذي تصيح به الديكة الأخرى.
وتسبب ذلك بتقديم شكوى لبلدية القرية، حيث يعيش كولن، على مالكيه ستيفن ولينا بارتن من قبل جيرانهما. وقد اعتبر الجيران ان سلوك الديك كولن يعتبر منافياً لسلوكيات الديكة الأخرى، مما يلقي بظلاله على سلوك عائلة بارتن برمتها وبناءاً عليه قررت البلدية ان الديك كولن مذنب، وأصدرت قراراً يقضي بمنعه من الصراخ قبل بزوغ الفجر وأشارت وسائل إعلام بريطانية الى ان لينا بارتن حاولت مراراً إجبار الديك على التزام الصمت وانتظار أشعة الشمس الأولى قبل ان يطلق صراخه، لكن دون جدوى، كما لفتت الى ان لينا نقلت الديك الى أبعد نقطة في مزرعتها وبذلت كل ما في وسعها لحجب الضوء عنه حتى قرابة العاشرة صباحاً إلا ان ذلك لم يجد نفعاً وعلى ما يبدو خلقت ممارسة هواية كولن في الصراخ المبكر لديه ما يعرف بالساعة البيولوجية، اذ أصبح يصرخ في الوقت الذي حدده هو لنفسه غير مبال بما يسببه ذلك من إحراج لمالكيه، ولسان حاله يقول "ما حاجتي للصياح بعد شروق الشمس، وهل ستشرق أصلا ان لم أصح"؟
وبعد ان سئمت لينا من إجبار الديك على التوقف عن الصراخ تساءلت، "ماذا يمكنني ان أفعل ؟ نحن نعيش في الريف ومن الطبيعي ان يسمع الجميع هنا صياح الديك وخوار البقر"، ملقية باللائمة على جيرانها الذين يشتكون من صياح ديكها قائلة، "ان التقدم بشكوى على ديك ضرب من الجنون. لا يمكن الانتقال للعيش بالقرب من محطة للقطارات والتذمر من ضجيجها".
وأضافت في يأس "لقد تحدثت مع كولن عن سلوكه، لكنه التزم الصمت واكتفى بالنظر بحبتي الخرز فوق منقاره"هذا ويهدد كولن مالكيه لينا وستيفن بقضية أكبر من شكوى في البلدية، اذ قد يجبرهما صراخه المبكر على مواجهة قضية في المحكمة، ربما تسفر عن إصدار حكم قاس بحقهما.
