الانتقالي الليبي يرفض تسليم عبد الباسط المقرحي للغرب

عثر على عبد الباسط المقرحي، المتهم في الاعتداء الدامي الذي استهدف طائرة أمريكية فوق لوكربي في اسكتلندا عام 1988، في فيلا فخمة بليبيا وهو في غيبوبة.

وقالت عائلته وجيرانه لوكالات الأنباء إن وضعه الصحي متدهور للغاية وإنه تقريبا على شفير الموت جراء معاناته من سرطان البروستات في مراحله النهائية، كما أوضح جيرانه أن عائلته هي من تتولى العناية به.

وأكد ابنه أنه ليس هناك طبيب يشرف على علاج والده أو شخص يمكنه المساعدة أو خط هاتفي يمكنهم الاتصال به.

وكان المقرحي يقضي عقوبة المؤبد في سجن باسكتلندا عندما شخصت إصابته بالسرطان بعد أن قضى من عقوبته 8 أعوام، على خلفية تفجير لوكربي، الذي أودى بحياة 270 شخصاً.

الأطباء الذين كانوا يعالجونه من سرطان البروستات، منحوه 3 شهور يعيشها، فتم الإفراج عنه من السجن لدواعي طبية.

وعندما عاد إلى بلاده، تم التعامل معه بوصفه بطلاً وطنياً، الأمر الذي أثار ردود فعل سلبية في الولايات المتحدة وبريطانيا.

والآن و مع سقوط حكم العقيد معمر القذافي، عاد المسؤولون في لندن وواشنطن يطالبون بإعادته إلى السجن.

غير أن المجلس الوطني الانتقالي، الذي أطاح بالقذافي، أعلن الأحد أنه لن يسمح بتسليم المقرحي، الذي يشارف على الموت.

وقال وزير العدل في حكومة الثوار، محمد العلاقي: "لن نسلم أي مواطن ليبي للغرب."
