حدث في الصين منذ وقت طويل أن تزوجت فتاة تدعى " غوانا " وذهبت لتعيش في بيت زوجها حيث والدته "حماتها" تعيش معهما في نفس المنزل لأنه منزل العائلة ... وبعد وقت قصير من زواجها تبين أنها لا تستطيع أن تتعايش مع أم زوجها... فقد كانت حماتها متكبرة ومتغطرسة وتتعمد استفزازها وكانت دائمة الانتقاد لها.
مرت الأيام والأسابيع ... والوضع من سيء الى أسوأ ... لا يوجد انسجام بين الزوجة وحماتها ... وسوء الظن والتحدي والخلاف مستمر بينهما ، ومما جعل الأمور اسوأ أنه طبقا للتقاليد الصينية القديمة، كان على زوجة الإبن ان تنحني أمام حماتها وأن تلبى لها كل أوامرها.

أخيرا وصلت غوانا الى مرحلة لا تستطيع أن تتحمل أكثر ، فقررت أن تقتل أم زوجها !!! ... فتذكرت صديق والدها المخلص العجوز مستر هوانج وكان عطاراً "بائعاً للأعشاب الطبية" بارعا وحكيما.

ذهبت غوانا الى مستر هوانج وشرحت له الوضع وطلبت منه ان يعطيها بعض الأعشاب السامة لتضعه في طعام حماتها لتموت وترتاح منها الى الأبد... لكن مستر هاونج رفض مساعتدها وحاول أن يثنيها عن هذه الفكرة الشيطانية ... لكن غوانا أصرت على مخططها .

فكر مستر هوانج في الأمر للحظات وأخيرا قال لها " حسنا أنا سأساعدك في التخلص من حماتك ...ولكن عليك أن تصغي الي وتنفذي ما سأقوله لك "
أجابت غوانا قائلة: 'نعم يا مستر هوانج أنا سأفعل أي شيء تقوله لي.

انسحب مستر هوانج للغرفة الخلفية ثم عاد بضعة دقائق ومعه قارورة صغيرة خضراء اللون على شكل قطاره وقال لها: ليس من المناسب أن تستخدمي سما سريع المفعول فإن ذلك يثير حولك الشكوك، ولذلك سأعطيك هذا السم والذي سيعمل على قتلها ببطئ خلال سنتين.. وسيظنون انه مرض عارض ... وعليك أن تجهزي لها كل يومين طعاما فيه مرق الدجاج أو اللحم وتضعي في طبقها قطرة واحدة من هذا السم ، ويجب ان تتقربي اليها وتتعاملي معها بكل أدب، وأن تتصرفي معها وكأنها ملكة ، وأن لا تتشاجري معها أبداً مهما حاولت أن تستفزك ، وعليك أيضا أن تطيعي كل أوامرها ، وتسهري على خدمتها ، وبذلك لن يتهمك أحد .

سعدت الزوجة بهذا وأسرعت للمنزل وبدأت في تنفيذ مؤامرتها ... مضت الأيام والأسابيع ثم توالت الشهور وكل يومان تعد الطعام لحماتها وتضع قطره من السم في طبقها.. وتذكرت دائما ما قاله لها مستر هوانج عن تجنب الاشتباه، فتحكمت في طباعها وأعصابها وأطاعت حماتها وعاملتها كما لو كانت أمها.

ومع مرور الأيام تغير جو البيت تماما ، الزوجة لا تغضب من تصرفات حماتها وتتحكم في طباعها بقوة وإصرار ، والأم بدأت تهدأ وتقلل من استفزاز غوانا بل أصبحت طيبة في تعاملها .

بعد ستة أشهر تغير سلوك الحماة اتجاه زوجة ابنها وبدأت تحبها كما لو كانت ابنتها، بل وتثني عليها عن الأصدقاء والأقرباء ، وتقول أن زوجة ابنها هي أفضل زوجة ابن يمكن لأحد أن يجده .

وأصبحت الزوجة وحماتها يعاملان بعضهما كما لو كانتا بنتا ووالدتها ... وأصبح الزوج سعيدا بما قد حدث من تغيير في البيت وهو يرى ويلاحظ ما يحدث .

وفي أحد الأيام توقفت غوانا عن وضع السم في طعام حماتها ... وذهبت مرة أخرى لصديق والدها مستر هوانج ، وقالت له وهي تبكي : عزيزي مستر هوانج، أرجوك ساعدني في منع تأثير السم في جسد حماتي ، فقد تغيرت إلى امرأة لطيفة وأنا أحبها الآن مثل أمي، ولا أريد ان أكون سببا في موتها .

ابتسم مستر هوانج وهز رأسه وقال لها : أنا لم أعطيك سما على الإطلاق لقد كانت القارورة التي أعطيتها لك تحتوي على الماء فقط !!!.

هل أدركت يا أخي أنك تستطيع ان تتغلب على الآخرين بتصرفاتك وحسن معاملتك وطيب اخلاقك وكما تعامل الآخرين سيعاملونك هم بالمثل ... وفي الصين يقولون الشخص الذي يحب الآخرين سيكون هو أيضا محبوباً !!!

وتذكر قول الله سبحانه في سورة فصلت: "وَلَا تَسْتَوِي الْحَسَنَةُ وَلَا السَّيِّئَةُ ادْفَعْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَن فَإِذَا الَّذِي بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَهُ عَدَاوَةٌ كَأَنَّهُ وَلِيٌّ حَمِيمٌ"
