وكالة الفضاء الأمريكية تبحث عن قمر صناعي سقط على الأرض وزنه ستة أطنان

تحاول وكالة الفضاء الأمريكية "ناسا" تتبع أثر قمرها الصناعي المنتهية صلاحيته والبالغ وزنه ستة أطنان والذي سقط على الأرض صباح السبت لكن دون معرفة مكان سقوط حطامه.

سقط القمر الصناعي الاميركي البالغ وزنه 6,3 اطنان قرابة منتصف الليل (الساعة الرابعة ت.غ. السبت) لكن لم يعرف بالتحديد مكان سقوط حطامه على ما اعلنت وكالة الفضاء الاميركية (ناسا) السبت.

وسقط القمر بين الساعة 23,23 من ليل الجمعة والساعة 01,09 من فجر السبت بتوقيت واشنطن (بين الساعة 03,23 و05,09 ت.غ. من السبت) وهي الفترة التي كان يفترض ان يكون فيها "فوق جزء من كندا وافريقيا فضلا عن جزء كبير من المحيط الهادئ والاطلسي والهند".

والقمر "آبر اتموسفير ريسيترش ساتلايت" بحجم حافلة صغيرة الا انه كان من المتوقع ان يبقى 20 جزءا فقط منه يراوح وزنها بين كيلوغرام واحد و158 كيلوغراما بعد دخوله الغلاف الجوي. ويفترض ان تتبعثر هذه الاجزاء على مساحة حوالى 750 كيلومترا على ما ذكرت الناسا.

وسعت الناسا وكذلك الخبراء الى الطمأنة طوال الوقت من الخطر المحتمل على البشر. مؤكدة ان احتمال اصابة شخص على الارض باحد اجزاء القمر او وقوع اضرار مادية "ضئيلا جدا".

فالاحتمال على ان يصاب احد في العالم اي نسبة 0,03 %، في عالم تسكنه سبعة مليارات نسمة فيما 90% من مساحته غير مأهولة.

وهذا القمر هو اكبر قمر صناعي للناسا يسقط على الارض منذ العام 1979 عند سقوط "سكايلاب" البالغ وزنه 90 طنا على الغرب الاسترالي.

وتقول وكالة الفضاء الاميركية ان الارض تشهد سقوط جسم بحجم هذا القمر الصناعي مرة واحدة على الاقل سنويا. وشدد مارك ماتني الخبير في الناسا على ان "عدة حطام من احجام مختلفة تدخل الغلاف الجوي للارض يوميا. ومنذ بدء استكشاف الفضاء قبل خمسين عاما لم يصب احد بحطام ساقط من الفضاء".

لحد الآن لم يعرف أين سقط القمر الصناعي بالتحديد.....لكنهم رجحوا أن يكون قد سقط في إفريقيا أو كندا..........كما أن الولايات المتحدة تطلب من كل من وجد حطام القمر الصناعي ان يسلمه إليهم لأنه ملكية أمريكية.
