سأله صديقه: وممّ هذا الألم الذي تشكو منه؟
قال الشيخ: لدي صقران يجب علي كل يوم أن أروضهما....


وأرنبان يلزم علي أن أحرسهما من الجري خارجا....


ونسران علي أن أدربهما وأقويهما....


وحية على أن أحرسها....


وأسد علي أن أحفظه دائما مقيدا في قفصه....


ومريض علي أن أعتني به.


قال الصديق مستغربا: ما هذا كله؟ لا بد أنك تمزح ! لأنه حقا لا يمكن لإنسان أن يراعي كل ذلك وحده.

قال الرجل الشيخ: إنني لا أمزح ولكن ما أقوله لك هو الحقيقة المحزنة الهامة..

إن الصقران هما عيناي وعلي أن أروضهما باجتهاد ونشاط على النظر للحلال وأمنعهما عن الحرام..


والأرنبان هما قدماي وعلي أن أحرسهما وأحفظهما من السير في طريق الخطيئة..


والصقران هما يداي وعلي أن أدربهما على العمل حتى تمدان بما أحتاج إليه وأستخدمهما في الحلال ومساعدة الآخرين ..


والحية هي لساني علي أن أحاصره وألجمه باستمرار حتى لا ينطق بكلام مشين معيب حرام..


والأسد هو قلبي الذي توجد لي معه حرب مستمرة وعلي أن أحفظه دائما مقيدا كي لا يفلت مني فتخرج منه أمور مشينة شريرة لأن بصلاحه صلاح الجسد كله وبفساده يفسد الجسد كله..


أما الرجل المريض فهو جسدي كله الذي يحتاج دائما إلى يقظتي وعنايتي وانتباهي


إن هذا العمل اليومي المتقن يستنفذ عافيتي

وإن من أعظم الأمور أن تضبط نفسك فلا تدع أي شخص آخر محيط بك أن يدفعك لغير ما ترغب أو تقتنع به..

لا تدع أي من نزواتك وضعفك وشهواتك تقهرك وتتسلط عليك

لا يوجد أعظم ممّا خلق الله لأجله وهو أن تكون عبدا له وملكا
