زيت الزيتون دواء سحري للعديد من الأمراض

أكدت دراسة أمريكية خاصة بمجال التغذية أن تناول البرتقال وزيت الزيتون يحمي المرأة من تجاعيد البشرة والجفاف، ويجعل مظهرها أكثـر شبابا كلما تقدمت في العمر. كما أضافت أن شرب زيت الزيتون يسكـّن المغص ويعالج القولون ويطرد الديدان من بطن الإنسان، ويفتت أيضا الحصى ويصلح الكلى، كما تأكد طبيا أنه يعالج أوجاع الظهر، وأن الاحتقان به يسكـّن آلام المفاصل. ويظهر أن للزيت منافع أخرى، خاصة للشعر والعينين، حيث تأكد أنه يقي من تساقط الشعر ويمنع الشيب، والاكتحال به يزيل بياض العين ويحد البصر. ويفيد زيت الزيتون في تنشيط الكبد والقناة الصفراوية، كما يخفض حموضة إفرازات المعدة ويحميها من الإصابة بالقرحة، ويساعد على الشفاء من أمراض اللثة، كما يقي من تجلط الدم وتصلب الشرايين. وعن هذه الفكرة، أكدت مجموعة بحث من جامعة كوفلر بنيويورك أنهم أدركوا ''أن استعمال سكان حوض البحر المتوسط لزيت الزيتون كمصدر أساسي للدهون في الغذاء، هو السبب وراء ندرة مرض شرايين القلب التاجية عندهم. وتجدر الإشارة إلى أن الأغذية المقلية بزيت الزيتون تتمتع بقيمة غذائية أعلى من المقلية بأنواع أخرى من الزيوت.
