مدينة أنغكور وات
لمدينة أنغكور وات أهمية دينية شديدة، حيث كانت بمثابة مجمع للمعابد في منطقة أنغكور

بكمبوديا، شيدت أنغكور وات على يد الملك سرفارمان الثاني في بداية القرن الثاني عشر

لتضم المعبد الرسمي للدولة وعاصمتها، وتعد المدينة من أبرز المعالم السياحية الأثرية لكمبوديا،

ويذكر أن العلم الوطني لكمبوديا يضم صورة لها.

المدينة المحرمة
تقع المدينة المحرمة في العاصمة الصينية بكين، وتم تشييدها في القرن الخامس عشر،

وهي عبارة عن القصر الإمبراطوري الذي كان مقر إقامة الأباطرة الصينيين من

أسرتي مينغ ثم تشينغ، يضم القصر ما يصل إلى مليون قطعة من التحف الفنية النادرة

وتحول اليوم إلى متحف شامل يجمع

بين الفنون المعمارية والآثار الإمبراطورية والفنون القديمة المختلفة، وتعد المدينة

المحرمة من أهم المعالم السياحية في الصين.

معابد باغان وباغوداس

تضم مدينتا باغان وباغوداس في بورما عدداً من المعابد نادرة
التصميم التي تعود إلى عصور زاهية من الحضارات القديمة في
البلاد، وتعد المنطقة من أبرز المعالم الأثرية لبورما لكنها - مع
الأسف - لا تلقى الكثير من الاهتمام على يد الحكومة ما يجعلها
بحالة سيئة.

معبد الكرنك

يوجد معبد الكرنك في مدينة الأقصر بمصر، وهو يضم عدداً من
أجمل وأبهى المعابد على وجه الأرض، ويرجع السبب في ذلك
إلى أن كان يحرص كل ملك عندما يعتلي عرش مصر أن يجعل
معبده أجمل وأبهى من الملك الذي سبقه مما جعل المنطقة صورة
حية تظهر التطور الفني والمعماري في الفن المصري القديم،
ويرجح علماء الآثار المصرية أن المعبد تم تشييده في القرن
السادس عشر قبل الميلاد.

تيوتيهواكان

تيوتيهواكان مدينة أثرية تقع بالقرب من خليج المكسيك، وتضم العديد
من المباني هرمية الشكل لكنها مدرجة بسلالم ضخمة، كانت الغاية
من تشييدها أن تكون منازل يسكنها الناس، ويعتقد علماء الآثار أن المدينة كانت تضم
ما يزيد عن المائة ألف شخص.
