J’attends ton arrivée à chaque naissance
d’un nouveau jour
et au début de chaque saison

Sous le soleil de mon Sahara
sous la pluie..
et en face du vent violent

Les distances en robes des sœurs
t’éclipsaient..
et privaient mes yeux de tes vifs rayons

Sur mes toiles les pinceaux timides
Courbaient leurs têtes
Cédant la place au gris des crayons

Les halos des bougies me rendaient triste
me rappelaient les caves anciennes
et les temples des pharaons

Les jours de mes fêtes tu n’étais pas là
que des froides guirlandes
et des lampes de néon

Le brouillard des Aures ne donnait plus
de charme aux torches
plantées sur les routes et sur les ponts

Toutes ces lumières sont disparues
dans le noir du passe
seuls tes rayons règnent à présent

Mon navire s’approche de ton île
belle comme la Corse
et j’y jetterai mon ancre pour de bon.
