قررت قيادتا الدرك والجيش الوطني الشعبي، تدعيم وحدتها بقوات إضافية تصل إلى 150 ألف جندي ودركي، لتأمين الحدود الجزائرية الليبية خاصة في منطقة مونخر وإمهرهاتن التي تفصل جانت عن منطقة تينلكوم الحدودية مع ليبيا، على خلفية توقيف11 شخصا مسلحا تسللوا إلى الأراضي الجزائرية بعد معركة سرت الأخيرة.

وحسب المصادر التي أوردت المعلومة لـ "الشروق"، فإن هيئة أركان الجيش وقيادة الدرك الوطني راسلت قيادتها المتواجدة في الحدود المقابلة للجنوب الغرب الليبي وحثتهم على تشديد الرقابة وتكثيف الأمن في جميع الطرق والمسالك الحدودية، وذلك بمضاعفة عدد الأفراد ووضع الجيش للوحدات القتالية الثابتة في بعض المحاور المهمة، لتفادي تسلسل المزيد من المجموعات الليبية المسلحة، بعد تمكن11 شخصا ليبيا مسلحا من الدخول إلى الجزائر عبر منطقة جانت، والذين تم إيقافهم من طرف قوات الجيش دون حدوث أي اشتباكات بين الطرفين، أين قام المتسللون بتسليم أسلحتهم وذخيرتهم للجيش، حيث تبين من خلال إخضاعهم لتحقيقات أجهزة الأمن، قبل إحالتهم أمام وكيل الجمهورية لدى محكمة جانت نهاية الأسبوع الماضي، حسب ما تسرب من معلومات أنهم عناصر ينتمون إلى القوات التي خاضت معركة سرت بصف القذافي ومن معه ضد مايسمى بـ"الثوار".
وحسب ذات المصادر، فإن قيادتي الدرك والجيش الوطني الشعبي أسندت وحداتها المنتشرة بالولايات الحدودية مع ليبيا مهمة مراقبة المناطق الجبلية، والمسالك الوعرة بالصحراء والتي تعتبر بمثابة بؤر مخفية لدخول أو خروج عصابات التهريب، زيادة على تشديد المراقبة ورفع مستوى اليقظة بالمراكز المتقدمة على طول الشريط الحدودي، إلى جانب تكثيف الدوريات والحواجز الأمنية المفاجئة في العديد من المواقع، وهذا على خلفية تنامي ظاهرة تهريب الأسلحة من ليبيا من قبل التنظيمات الإرهابية.

وكان الفريق أحمد قايد صالح، رئيس أركان الجيش الوطني الشعبي، قد تفقد في زيارته الأخيرة إلى ولاية تندوف مقرات ومراكز الوحدات عسكرية العاملة قرب الحدود على غرار الثكنات العسكرية الكائنة بمنطقة جانت، حيث تهدف هذه الزيارة للوقوف على أداء وحدات الجيش وحرس الحدود التابعة للدرك الوطني، في عمق الصحراء والشريط الحدودي مع موريتانيا، النيجر وليبيا بخصوص ومهام محاربة الإرهاب والجريمة وتجارة المخدرات.
