مستشار علمي لسيف الإسلام يستقيل

أعلن المستشار الأكاديمي لنجل العقيد الليبي الراحل معمر القذافي أنه سيترك عمله في كلية لندن للاقتصاد, قبل نشر تقرير حول علاقة الجامعة مع ليبيا.
وقالت صحيفة الغارديان اليوم الثلاثاء إن الأكاديمي ديفيد هيلد مستشار سيف الإسلام حين كان يدرس بالكلية, وتولى إدارة برنامج البحوث في الجامعة الذي تموله المنظمة الخيرية التي كان يديرها سيف الإسلام.

وأضافت الصحيفة أن هيلد أستاذ العلوم السياسية سيترك منصبة في الكلية في جانفي المقبل ليتولى وظيفة أخرى في جامعة دورهام البريطانية.

وأشارت إلى أن التقرير من المتوقع أن يوجه انتقادات حادة لكلية لندن للاقتصاد بشأن الاستقلالية الأكاديمية لبرامجها, حول بحوث شمال أفريقيا، الذي مولته مؤسسة القذافي الخيرية، وكان يديرها سيف الإسلام بمنحة مقدارها (1.5 مليون جنية إسترليني).

وقالت الصحيفة إن البروفيسور هيلد أقام علاقات واسعة مع سيف الإسلام، الهارب الآن بعد سقوط نظام والده، وكان ضمن مجلس إدارة مؤسسة القذافي الخيرية وعين فيه في جوان2009، قبل أن يستقيل في وقت لاحق بموجب نصيحة من إدارة كلية لندن للاقتصاد.

وأضافت الصحيفة أن العلاقة بين كلية لندن للاقتصاد ونظام القذافي تسببت في استقالة مدير الكلية هوارد ديفيس، مشيرة إلى أن متحدثا باسم الكلية أكد أن البروفسور هيلد تلقى عرضا للعمل بجامعة دورهام وقَبِله، وهذا القرار شخصي اتخذه لأسباب أكاديمية.

وفي وقت سابق كشفت أدلة أن سيف الإسلام سرق أطروحته التي نال بها شهادة الدكتوراه في الكلية, وتبين خلال تلك الأدلة التي أوردتها صحيفة بريطانية أن أكاديميا ليبيا ساعد سيف الإسلام في صياغة رسالته, كوفئ لاحقا بأن عين سفيرا بإحدى الدول الأوروبية.
وقالت صحيفة ذي إندبندنت أون صنداي إن هذه التفاصيل الجديدة تأتي في الوقت الذي دعا فيه أحد النواب عن حزب المحافظين الحاكم في بريطانيا كامل أعضاء مجلس إدارة هذه الكلية إلى الاستقالة.
كما واجهت المؤسسة المذكورة مزاعم بإذعانها لضغوط مورست عليها وقبول تسجيل قريب لأحد مساعدي الرئيس الأميركي الأسبق بيل كلينتون للدراسة بها.
وذكرت الصحيفة أن كلية لندن للاقتصاد بدأت تحقيقا في الاتهامات الموجهة لها بالانتحال وبقبول تمويلات ليبية مشبوهة.
ونقلت الصحيفة عن الأستاذ بجامعة قاريونس ببنغازي أبو بكر بعيرة قوله إن نجل القذافي جند الأكاديميين الليبيين لكتابة أطروحته المنتحلة.
وقال بعيرة "أخبرت بأن سيف الإسلام جمع بعض حملة الدكتوراه من جامعة قاريونس في بنغازي بليبيا لمساعدته على كتابة أطروحة الدكتوراه، وأن من بين الذين استشارهم أستاذا للاقتصاد تخرج في ألمانيا يدعى الدكتور منيسي".
وأكد بعيرة أن منيسي الذي كان قد تقاعد أعيد إلى الحياة النشطة مديرا لأحد المصارف الحكومية, ثم محافظا للبنك المركزي الليبي قبل أن يعين سفيرا لليبيا في النمسا.
ووصف بعيرة سيف الإسلام بأنه "مجرم حرب", وطالب كلية لندن للاقتصاد بتجريده من شهادة الدكتوراه التي منحته إياها.
وقالت ذي إندبندنت أون صنداي إن السفارة الليبية في النمسا رفضت التعليق على هذه المعلومات, كما نقلت عن كلية لندن للاقتصاد قولها إنها لا تمتلك "أي أدلة" على الادعاءات الحالية.
