دعا الأمين العام للجامعة العربية نبيل العربي إلى فرض حماية دولية للمدنيين في سورية، معللا ذلك بعدم تمتع الجامعة بالإمكانيات الكافية للقيام بذلك وحدها. يأتي ذلك عقب إصدار الجامعة العربية قرارا بتعليق عضوية سورية فيها بدءا من الأربعاء "ما لم تنفذ بنود المبادرة العربية بشأن الأوضاع هناك". ووصف العربي ـ الذي كان يتحدث من العاصمة الليبية طرابلس ـ القرار بأنه "تاريخي"، مضيفا أن جامعته تدرس الآليات التي يمكنها تطبيقها لحماية المدنيين السوريين".
وقال إنه "ليس من الخطأ أن نذهب إلى مجلس الأمن الدولي، فهو المنظمة الوحيدة القادرة على فرض مثل هذه الإجراءات". ويقول جون لين مراسل بي بي سي إن هدف الجامعة العربية الآن هو عزل سورية.

تعليق عرضي على هذا:العربي يتعلل بان (الجامعة العربية ) ليست لديها الامكانيات، وهل مجلس الأمن لديه الإمكانيات أم انه يفوض الدول الأعضاء فيه، للتصرف؟ ألا تملك الدول العربية مجتمعة حقا الوسيلة لفرض الحماية؟ وماذا عن الاسلحة التي تشتريها بالبلايين؟ وماذا عن الجيوش العرمرم التي لديها؟ وانظروا مفارقة ان يتحدث العربي من طرابلس التي لم تبرد دماء التدخلات الإستعمارية فيها بعد.
ولكن تعليقي الرئيسي هو هذا: على حكام سوريا ان يقولوا اليوم "اكلت يوم أكل الثور الأبيض". لقد كانت آخر دولة اتوقع في 1990 أن تساعد على تدمير العراق وتصوت ايجابا على استقدام قوات أجنبية ، بل تدخل تحت مظلة القيادة الأمريكية لضرب الجيش العراقي عام 1990، ليس لأن العراق كان يحكمه نفس الحزب، وليس لأن سوريا كانت تتشدق بالعروبة، ولكن لأن العراق كان عمقها الاستراتيجي. وانظروا الآن من عمقها؟ لا عمق ولاظهير لها. تركها العرب وحدها. شاهدوا هذا الفيديو التاريخي، لحظة التصويت على قرار تدمير العراق في 1991. الرجال الذين امتنعوا وتحفظوا وصالوا وجالوا ضد القرار لم يعد لهم وجود في جامعة موزة الأمريكية.

سوى نتيجة حتمية للمجازر التي يفتعلها النضام الطاغي في سوريا

فتحرك الجامعة العربية هيا تاني خطوة ايجابية بعد التي قام بها ضد ليبيا

ونتمنى ان يزيد الخناق على هذا الطاغي بتخاذ قرارات فاعلة ضده
