وقالت شبكة (أيه بي سي) الامريكية في تقرير لها على موقعها الالكتروني ان هذا

العنكبوت من الانواع السامة جدا وان جنديين امريكيين لاحظا انتشاره في جنوب

العراق بالصدفة وهما يمشطان احدى المناطق في الثاني عشر من ابريل نيسان

ويصف احد الجنود الرعب بعد اكتشاف العنكبوت قائلا ان الجنود ظلوا مستيقظين طوال

ليلة اكتشافه خوفا من اقتحامه لخيامهم بعد ان علموا بان العناكب كانت تحيط بالمخيم

ويضيف لقد كانت تلك العناكب تحيط بنا من كل مكان وكنا نخاف من سمها ويقول بعض

الجنود انهم اعتادوا على رؤية هذا النوع الخطير من العناكب في ظل انعدام السكان

العراقيين وذلك بعد فرار معظمهم ابان دخول القوات الامريكية للعراق

علو اقدام ولا تخرج الا ليلا عند انعدام الضوء وهي عندما تلدغ فانها تفرز مادة

تسمى نوفوكين تؤدي الى انتفاخ الجلد وتخدر المنطقة الملدوغة حتى ان البشر قد لا

يشعرون باللدغة وتبدا العناكب بعد لدغ المكان باكله سواء كان ساقا او يدا دون ان يعلم

الشخص الملدوغ انها تاكل جسده بسبب المادة المخدرة التي تبثها العناكب في

الجسم
