المؤهلات الطبيعيةلولاية مستغانم

تتميّز ولاية مستغانم بمناخ متوسطي أي شبه جاف، مايعني صيف حار على طول الساحل وشتاء معتدل على باقي المناطق الأخرى مع أمطار غير منتظمة ومعدل درجة حرارة يبلغ 24° ماعدا من 10 إلى 25 يوما مابين شهري جويلية وأوت أين تهب رياح السيروكو.

تتنوع تضاريس الولاية من سهول منخفضة بالمنطقة الغربية زيادة على الهضاب وسهول بالمنطقة الشرقية ناهيك عن إمتداد جبال الظهرة، علما أن منطقة المقطع تعتبر من أهم المناطق الرطبة في الجهة الغربية بحيث تعد ملجأ لإستقبال الطيور المهاجرة. تتربع ولاية مستغانم على مساحة تقدر بـ 2269 كلم2 تشمل نسبة 14٪ منها الغابات

شريط ساحلي يبلغ 124 كلم مقسم على 24 شاطئا والتي جعلت الولاية قبلة للمصطافين، علما أنها تحتضن 15 منطقة سياحية.

وللعلم أن مستغانم لها حدود مشتركة مع 4 ولايات غربية إذ تحدها من الجهة الشرقية ولايتي الشلف ومن الجنوب ولايتي غليزان ومعسكر، ومن الغرب ولايتي وهران فيما تطل من الجهة الشمالية على الحوض المتوسط، تمتد سهولها الغربية على مساحة تقدر بـ 680 كلم2، أما هضابها فتتربع على مساحة تصل إلى 560 كلم2 يتراوح إرتفاعها ما بين 100 متر و350 مترا، أما السهول الشرقية فتمتد على مساحة تقدر بـ 340 كلم2 على علو يبدأ من 0 متر إلى غاية 400 متر،

تحتل جبال الظهرة مساحة 510 كلم2 والتي يبلغ إرتفاعها 563 متر

وتتموقع على مسافة 14 كلم من شاطيء البحر تتواجد بالولاية 15 منطقة سياحية وهي منطقة المقطع، ستيديا، أوريعة (صابلات)، خروبة، شلف شاطيء، رأس إيفي، ومنطقة بن عبد المالك رمضان، ناهيك عن منطقة حجاج والكاف الأصفر، والميناء الصغير زيادة على منطقة عين إبراهيم وزريفة وكاف قادوس ومنطقتي سيدي عبد القادر وبحارة وبالإضافة إلى هذه الرقعات الجغرافية التي تعتبر مقصدا للمستغانميين

هناك هياكل قاعدية أخرى تساعد على تنمية السياحة بهذه الولاية والتي تتمثل في ميناءين إثنين خاصين بالصيد وميناء آخر تجاري، فضلا عن شبكة طرقات هامة والتي تلعب دورا كبيرا في تطوير إقتصاد الولاية، بحيث تعبر ولاية مستغانم 4 طرق وطنية وهي الطريق الوطني رقم 11 والطريق الوطني رقم 23، فضلا عن الطريق الوطني رقم 17 والطريق الوطني رقم 90، هذا وتضم الولاية شبكة طرقات ولائية وبلدية على إمتداد يصل إلى 878 كلم من الطرقات البلدية.
