روايات حول تسمية مستغانم

اصل التسمية و للكلمة أصول عدة
1-تـــــتألف كلمة مستغانم من كلمتين مختـــــلفــتين : مشتى -محطة شتوية- و غانم - مربي الأغنام
2- يرى بعض المؤرخين أن الكلمة تتألف من مرسى و غانم معنه مرسى الغنيمة
3- يرى آخرون أن الكلمة تعني مسك الغنم أي وفرة قطيع الأغنام
لكن أهم تعريف يتعلق ب اسم ميناء روماني موريستاقا muristaga

و مستغانم : أصلها مشتى غانم أي مكان قضاء فصل الشتاء لهذا الجد وأحفاده ويذكر ان الولي سيدي عبد الله كان له بالمطمر اكواخ و التي يقيم بها الرحالة في فصل الشتاء
،ويختلف في أصل و معنى هذا الإسم ،لكن المستغانميين يفضلون إرجاعه إلى التسمية العربية "مسك الغنائم"

وردت اختلافات حول تسمية مستغانم منهم من يقول مسك الغنائم و منهم من يقول مرسى الغنايم و منهم من يقول مرسى

الغنم و منهم من يقول مشتى الغنم و منهم من يقول مورسك غانم

عن روايةلاحد اعراب المنطقة على ضفة وادي عين الصفراء يتخذ مجراه ليسير في البحر يقف طفلان اصغرهما يقطف

قصبة حلوة من بساتين الوادي و يطلب من صديقه بعبارة مورسك غانم أي مثل ما ورد في كتاب مارسال بودان


وفي نفس المكان يسمع حميدة العبد زعيم المحال عبارة من ذلك الصبي و الكرانم في الامازيغية حسب مارسال بودان

القصب و يشير في رواية ثانية ان حميدة العبد اشتق اسم المدينة من عبارة مرسك غانم

ومن اروايات القائد العربي تشير الروايات التاريخية ان الاشغال التي نفذتها بنات الحميدة العبد مثل قصر المحال التيعملت

على ترميمه ابنه صفوانة و اهتمت بتوسيع حديقته ابته ملولة بمشيئة المولى عز وجل بينما ابنته منصورة شيدت مسجدا

يحوي ضريحه و يشير مرسال بودان ان غنم بالامازيغية قصب السكر و بذلك ستكون تسميةمستغانم التي عرفت عند

الرومان بموريسطاقا و لكن هذه المدينةالتي تحولت الى مستغانم ربما قد حرفت عن تسميتها الاصلية مسك الغنائم او مرسى

الغنائم او مثل ما يقول البعض تشير الروايات ان مستغانم نسبت الى غانم احد الشخصيات و لم يكن هناك رواية قاطعة
