القذافي خطط من أجل تحرير الرئيس العراقي الراحل صدام حسين من سجنه الأميركي في العراق

تداولت العديد من المواقع الإكترونية انه تم العثور على وثائق في مقر الاستخبارات الليبية، شحنت جوا إلى الولايات المتحدة الأميركية، تكشف أن الزعيم الليبي الراحل معمر القذافي الذي قتل الشهر الماضي، قد عقد اجتماعات ولقاءات سرية من أجل تحرير الرئيس العراقي الراحل صدام حسين من سجنه الأميركي في العاصمة العراقية، وأنه اجتمع مع إبنة الرئيس العراقي رغد، وأبلغها بخططه الخاصة، وأنه التقى أيضا بأكثر من محام تولوا في مراحل مختلفة الدفاع عن الرئيس العراقي السابق. وكانت الاستخبارات الليبية بأوامر مباشرة من القذافي قد شرعت في ترتيب الخطط، والتحرك على الأرض بالتعاون مع خلايا إستخبارية أميركية غير رسمية للهجوم على مقر اعتقال الرئيس العراقي السابق قبل أشهر قليلة من إعدامه، وتحريره، ووضعه في مكان آمن داخل العراق بالتنسيق مع المقاومة العراقية، إلى حين تدبير طريقة لإخراجه منالعراق إلى ليبيا، إلا أن عائق التنفيذ بالنسبة للاستخبارات الليبية كان في تقديره المبدئي أن عملية كهذه سيسقط خلالها المئات من العسكريين الأميركيين، وإذا أكتشف الدور الليبي فيها، فإن مواجهة سياسية وعسكرية ودبلوماسية ستجري بين طرابلس وواشنطن. وفي مرحلة لاحقة عرض القذافي على شخصيات أميركية إلتقاها في أميركا وأوروبا خلال زياراته بدفع مبلغ مبدئي يتجاوز خمسة مليارات دولار أميركي لطي صفحة محاكمة صدام حسين، وإطلاق سراحه، إلا أن واشنطن التي كانت تصلها عروض القذافي لم تكن ترد عليه، الأمر الذي كان يدفع الأخير للاعتقاد بأن الولايات المتحدة تراوغه طمعا في مبالغ أضخم، وأن صفقة إطلاق صدام ممكنة.
