أصبح الدليل الصحراوي الذي سلم سيف الإسلام القذافي إلى المليشيات الليبية بمثابة بطل في عيون مواطنيه، بعد أن قام بذلك مضحيا بمبلغ مليون يورو كان سيكون مكافأته لتهريب ابن العقيد الليبي الراحل.

وكان الدليل يوسف صالح الهتموني من بلدة البرقان في أقصى الصحراء الكبرى قد عُرضَت عليه المكافأة لتهريب سيف الإسلام وأربعة من مرافقيه إلى منطقة الحدود الليبية مع النيجر والجزائر.

وذكر أن رجال سيف الإسلام قالوا له إن هناك من ينتظر ليقله بعد وصوله إلى مبتغاه وينقله إلى منفاه "ليعود لاحقا ويسعى لزعامة بلده مرة أخرى".

وقال الهتموني لصحيفة تلغراف البريطانية "أشكر الله لأنه مكنني من الانتصار على هذا العدو. لقد مُنحت الملايين ولكن كل أموالهم لا تساوي حجرا واحدا من صحرائنا ولا قطرة واحدة من دماء شهدائنا".

وكان سيف الإسلام قد ألقي القبض عليه من قبل سرية من مقاتلي الزنتان تتألف من 14 عنصرا، واقتادوه إلى سجن سري في مدينتهم، وترى الصحيفة أن إلقاء القبض على سيف الإسلام القذافي صعّد من نجم الزنتان وتجلى ذلك بتسمية قائد مقاتليها أسامة الجويلي وزيرا للدفاع في الحكومة الليبية الجديدة.



في البداية قالت كتائب الزنتان إنها لن تعلن عن هوية الدليل حفاظا على سلامته، ولكن الهتموني قال إنه تلقى بالفعل تهديدات بالقتل من مؤيدي القذافي، وإنه لم يعد يهتم بما يحدث له بعد أن حقق مبتغاه.

وأضاف الهتموني أنه التحق بالمقاتلين المناوئين للقذافي في بداية الثورة، ولكنه أحيل في وقت لاحق إلى العمل السري، الأمر الذي أدى به إلى مقابلة رجال قالوا إنهم يريدون ترتيب هروب شخصية كبيرة لم يسموها.

وكانت تفاصيل نصب الكمين قد اكتملت يوم الجمعة، وفي تلك المرحلة لم يكن الهتموني قد أخبر بهوية الشخصية الرفيعة المستوى التي سيهربها، ولكنه كانت لديه فكرة جيدة عنها.

وأوضح الهتموني "لم يعلم أنني أعرف من هو. لم يخبرني أحد، ولكني فكرت مليّا واستنتجت أنه سيف الإسلام".

وأوضح أنهم انطلقوا بسيارتين إحداهما بقيادة عمرو عبد الجاسم عمر ابن أخت عبد الله السنوسي اليد اليمنى للعقيد الراحل معمر القذافي، والسيارة الثانية فيها سيف الإسلام وشخصان آخران.

وقال الهتموني إن عمرو جلب معه مسدسين وقنابل يدوية، وإنه "كان يخطط لإعدامي عند وصولهم الحدود".
