جمهورية كوريا الجنوبية
بلد في شرق آسيا، تحدها في الشمال, كوريا الشمالية يفصلها عن اليابان بحر اليابان

هناك اعتقاد ان سبب تسميه "كوريا" بهذا الاسم جاء على يد بعض التجار العرب, حيث كانت "كوريا" تدعى في فترة من الفترات ب"غوريا"أو جوريا", ولكن لصعوبه نطق هذا الاسم باللغه العربيه, تغير إلى الاسم الحالي والمتعارف عليه"كوريا".

الزي الكوري التقليدي والوطني فهو الهان بوك,وأما أطعمتهم الشهيرة فهي الكيمتشي وهو طعام كوري تقليدي وكذلك البولغوغي.

يظل الكورين متمسكين بالكثير من العادات والتقاليد المتعارف عليها. فاحترام الأكبر سنا مهم جدا في الثقافة الكوريه, لدرجه انه من غير الطبيعي ان يذكر شخص من هو أكبر منه سنا باسمه المجرد, حتى وان كان فارق السن لا يجاوز السنه أو الاثنتين, فتزاد كلمه "هيونغ"ويقولها الفتى للفتى الذي هو أكبر منه سناً،، وكلمه "نونا" يقولها الفتى للفتاة الأكبر منه سناً ,وكلمة"اوبَا"تقولها الفتاة للفتى الأكبر منها سناً,وكلمة"اوني"تقولها الفتاة للفتاة الأكبر منها سناً،وكلمة سانباي تقآل للاكثر خبره بأي مجال.. أو للأعلى مرتبه من الشخص نفسه. وتقال الكلمات في نهايه الاسم.

يستخدم معظم الكوريون التقويم القمري الصيني. ويحتفلون بعيد رأس السنة الصينية، والذي يكون عادة في الربيع.
اللغة الكورية لغة متميزة يستخدمها حوالي 60 مليون شخص وتثير اللغة الكورية جدلاً حيث يضعها معظم علماء الأنساب في أسرة اللغات الألطائية. وتختلف حروف اللغة الكورية المسماة بــ "الهانكول" عن اللغة الصينية التي تتميز بوجود معنى في كل حرف، وكذلك حروف اللغة اليابانية "كانا" المستقاة من الحروف الصينية.

كوريا عبر تاريخها الطويل الذي يتجاوز آلاف السنوات، أرست سمات ثقافية فريدة تعكس التفاؤل والتواضع والمشاعر الجمالية الثرية للشعب الكوري، وقد وجدت هذه المشاعر طريقاً للتعبير عنها من خلال الفنون الجميلة والأدب وفن العمارة وأسلوب المعيشة وثقافة المطبخ وغيرها من المجالات الآخرى، واعترافاً من منظمة الأمم المتحدة للتربية والثقافة والعلوم "اليونسكو" بثراء التراث الثقافي القديم لكوريا، فقد أدرجت المنظمة سبعة من الكنوز الثقافية الكورية ضمن قائمة التراث العالمي التي أعدتها.
