الأكل ببطء يجنب البدانة

لم يعد من الضروري اتباع نظام غذائي خاص أو اعتماد حمية معينة، أو حتى الامتناع عن أنواع معينة من الأطعمة بهدف الحفاظ على رشاقة الجسد، بل يكفي، حسب نتائج دراسة أمريكية، الالتزام بقاعدة بسيطة لكنها مهمة، وتتمثل في تناول الطعام ببطء، ليتبيّن أيضا أن الرجال يتناولون نحو 80 سعرة حرارية في الدقيقة، بينما لا تتجاوز النساء 52 سعرة حرارية. كما توصل المشرفون على ذات الدراسة إلى أن الأغلبية الساحقة من الأشخاص البدناء يتناولون طعامهم بنهم وبسرعة أكبر من النحفاء، ليتوصلوا بالتالي إلى وجود ارتباط مباشر بين سرعة تناول الطعام والوزن، مشيرين إلى أن سرعة الأكل يتوقف أيضا على نوعية الطعام الذي يتناوله الشخص، حيث تتطلب بعض أنواع الأطعمة جهدا أكبر للمضغ والابتلاع، كاللحوم مثلا، فيما يتم تناول البطاطا بسرعة أكبر ودون بذل جهود كثيفة.
