طارق عزيز سيعدم العام المقبل

أعلن مسؤول عراقي أن نائب رئيس الوزراء وزير الخارجية العراقي الأسبق طارق عزيز سيعدم في السنة المقبلة، بعد انسحاب القوات الأميركية من البلاد.
وقال سعد يوسف المطلبي -مستشار رئيس الوزراء العراقي إن "إعدام عزيز سيطبق من دون أدنى شك، وسيتم ذلك بعد مغادرة الأميركيين للعراق" في العام 2012.
وأشار المطلبي إلى أنه يجري البحث حالياً في قانون جديد يتطلب مصادقة الرئيس العراقي على عقوبات الإعدام خلال 15 يوماً من تسليمها إليه. وأضاف أن "المجتمع العراقي بكامله، بما في ذلك السنة والشيعة والأكراد، يؤيدون القانون".
لكن بديع عارف -محامي عزيز- أعرب عن مفاجأته بقرار إعدام موكله، وقال "لم أتوقع أن تكون الحكومة غبية، فالقيام بهذا الأمر سيجر البلاد إلى حافة الهاوية".
وتساءل "ماذا عن المصالحة الوطنية التي تدعو إليها الحكومة؟ موقف الحكومة سيكون أضعف إذا نفذت الإعدام بعد مغادرة القوات الأميركية وسيؤدي هذا الأمر إلى صراع بين الفصائل العراقية".
يشار إلى أن القوات الأميركية اعتقلت عزيز في أفريل2003، وحكم عليه بالإعدام في أكتوبر2010 لدوره في قضية تصفية الأحزاب الدينية.
يذكر أن منظمة العفو الدولية طالبت بعدم إعدام عزيز، فيما عبر الفاتيكان عن معارضته هذا الأمر.
