الأسد ينفي مسؤوليته عن القتل


قال الرئيس السوري بشار الأسد إنه ليس مسؤولا عن أعمال العنف التي ترتكبها قواته والتي تتهمها الأمم المتحدة بأنها تمارس القمع السياسي مما أوقع "أكثر من أربعة آلاف قتيل خلال تسعة أشهر" حسب المنظمة الدولية.
جاء ذلك خلال مقابلة استثنائية للأسد مع شبكة "أي بي سي" التلفزيونية الأميركية لتوضيح موقف نظامه للمشاهدين الغربيين وسط حملة القمع التي يشنها نظامه ضد المناهضين له، حسب ما أفادت الشبكة التي ستبث المقابلة اليوم الأربعاء.
ولم تكشف الشبكة عن مضمون المقابلة ولكن صحفيا يعمل لديها كشف مقتطفات من أقوال الرئيس السوري. وأوضح أن الأسد قال ردا على سؤال بشأن القمع "أنا رئيس. لست مالك البلاد، إذن هي ليست قواتي".
وردا على هذا التصريح، قال المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية مارك تونر إن الأسد الذي تدعوه واشنطن إلى التخلي عن السلطة، فوت فرصا عديدة لوضع حد لأعمال العنف.

وأضاف قائلا "أرى أنه من السخف أن يلجأ إلى الاستخفاف بالآخرين وأن يتجرأ على القول بأنه لا يمارس السلطة في بلاده" معتبرا أنه لا يقوم بأي شيء آخر غير قمع حركة معارضة سلمية بطريقة وحشية.
وقد أعلنت شبكة "أي بي سي" أن المذيعة التلفزيونية الشهيرة باربرا والترز توجهت إلى دمشق حيث استقبلها الأسد وأجرى بذلك أول مقابلة تلفزيونية مع الإعلام الأميركي منذ بدء الاحتجاجات وحملة القمع قبل تسعة أشهر والتي أدت إلى مقتل نحو أربعة آلاف شخص بحسب الأمم المتحدة.
وقالت الشبكة إن والترز وجهت إلى الأسد أسئلة بشأن تقرير الأمم المتحدة الأخير الذي تحدث عن مقتل وتعذيب مدنيين من بينهم أطفال.
كما سألت والترز الأسد عن "حملة القمع العنيفة التي يشنها على المتظاهرين، وتأثير العقوبات الاقتصادية على بلاده وحظر السفر، والدعوات لتنحي الرئيس، وما إذا كان سيسمح لمراقبي الجامعة العربية بدخول البلاد، وللصحافة الغربية بالدخول الحر وغير المقيد إلى سوريا"، بحسب الشبكة.
