مستغانم احدى محطات غرينيتش بقريتها عين ازديدية التسمية الأصلية التي تعرف اليوم ببلدية استيدية و التي تأسست بأمر ملكي وأصبحت معروفة عند علماء الخرائط والأرصاد الجوية والتوبوغرافيا والفلكيين، وللخوض في موضوعنا هذا الذي استقينا منه لمحة مختصر ةحول هذا المعلم الجغرافي الفلكي غرينيتش ، إعتمدنا على وثائق من الأرشيف منها كتابات المعمرين أمثال ميشال دروسون الذي عاش بالقرية التي استوتطنتها جالية بروسية ، انصهرت مع الفرسييين الذين لازالت قبورهم تحمل نفس الألقاب الواردة في سجلات الحالة المدنية بمصلحة البلدية ، أخرى أثرينا من خلالها بحثنا منها ما قام بتحليله ميشال دروسون من مراسلات ( فون لاكروا ) ومراسلات قيادة الأركان الإستعمارية بمستغانم ووهران وسجلات المعمرين بالمجلس البلدي .

علاقة استيدية بخط غرينيتش : يعود تأسيس المرصد الفلكي ـ غرينيتش الى عهد الملك شارل الثاني ملك بريطاني عندما أمر بتنفيذ المشروع سنة 1675 بلندن وهو موقع مجهز لمراقبة القمر واتخذ كنقطة صفر في سنة 1884 ونقل المرصد بين 1946 و1953 الى قصر (هيتسمونسو) شرق(سوسكس) على بعد 97 كم جنوب المرصد الأول غرينيتش

اجتهد بفرنسا في علم الفلك والجغرافي عالمان هما ـ جون باتيست ديلومبر ـ و ـ العالم بيار ميشان وعملا على قياس المسافة بين دنكرك وبرشلونة

كيف أصبحت استيدية معروفة دوليا على الخرائط الجغرافية احدى محطات خط غرينيتش بداية من ساحل البحر المتوسط في الشمال الإفريقي بناء على قرار 9 مارس 1911 أصبحت استيديا معروفة دوليا على أنها احدى نقاط خط غرينيتش في شمال القارة الإفريقية والذي يحدد بموجبه زمن التوقيت الدولي وتؤكد ما نقوله تلك الصفيحة الرخامية في مدخل البلدة قبالة المقهى الأول لاتزال معلقة ومثبتة على الجدار كتب عليها تاريخ القرار كما كتب عليها اسم رئيس البلدية الذي أنجزها يوم14 جويلية 1929 وهو المعمر( بروسبير داريوس) وأهداها له( المهندس بول شاريي)وينتقد المعمر ميشال دروسو موضعها حيث يشير الى أن مكانها الأصلي يبعد ب70 مترا

تشترك مدينتي استيديا وغرينيتش في توقيت زمني واحد فكلما ابتعدنا عن هذا المعلم شرقا ب 15 خط طول نظيف ساعة لتوقيت النقطة الواقعة على خط 15 درجة شرقا والعكس صحيح أي ننقص ساعة كلما ابتعدنا عن غرينيتش الذي يمثل الدرجة صفر ننقص ساعة غربا
فالفارق الزمني بيننا وفرنسا يعود الى توقيت محلي كما كما تعمل بعض الدول الإسلامية بتوقيت مكة المكرمة
