زهرة هذا النبات تعتبر نموذج فريد في عالم المحاكاة ،

حيث إن الأزهار تقلد بشكل بارع إناث النحل الطنان Bumblebee في الشكل


كذلك تنتج الزهرة مركباً كيميائياً يعطيها رائحة إناث النحل أثناء فترة التزاوج ،

إذاً يمكننا أن نقول بأن أزهار الأوركيدا هي نموذج مذهل يحاكي إناث النحل الطنان في الشكل واللون والرائحة

وهنا يتوجب طرح السؤال الآتي

ما هو الهدف من عملية المحاكاة هذه ؟




يتفتق في فصل الربيع كأس زهرة الأوركيدا متنكرا في شكل إناث النحل الطنان

ثم تفرز مركب كيميائي يشبه ذلك الذي تفرزه إناث النحل في فترة التزاوج لتحفيز الذكور بشكل طبيعي علي هذه العملية ،


بهذه الخدعة تنجذب ذكور النحل إلي الأزهار معتقد إياها إناثا جاهزة للتلقيح

ثم يقف الذكور علي الزهرة محاولة إتمام عملية التلقيح إثناء وقوف الذكر المخدوع علي كأس الزهرة

يصدم جسمه بحبوب اللقاح الموجودة في جزء يقع في اعلي الزهرة ،

بعدها يقوم النحل الذكر بالتنقل حاملا حبوب اللقاح إلي زهرة أخري وهكذا.

تقلد الشكل الخارجي لإناث النحل بكامل تفاصيلة رغم أنها لا تري ؟



كيف عرفت الزهرة أن ذكور النحل تنجذب إلي الإناث عن طريق مركب كيميائي ثم كيف استطاعت أن تنتج نفس المركب رغم انتفاء التخاطب بين النوعين ؟
