القوات الأمريكية تغادر العراق بعد 9 سنوات من الاجتياح وتبقي 157 جندياً

القوات الأمريكية أثناء مغادرتها العراق

غادر آخر الجنود الأمريكيين العراق صباح اليوم الأحد بعد حوالى تسع سنوات من بداية حرب مثيرة للجدل في أسبابها وفصولها، تاركين خلفهم بلادا تعيش على وقع أزمات سياسية مغلفة بتحديات أمنية كبيرة.

وكان جنود اللواء الثالث من فرقة سلاح الفرسان الاولى آخر من اجتاز الحدود العراقية الكويتية، بعد نحو ثماني سنوات وتسعة اشهر من عبور القوات الامريكية للحدود ذاتها في الاتجاه المعاكس في بداية "عملية تحرير العراق".

وغادر الموكب الاخير الذي ضم 110 آليات تحمل على متنها 500 جندي معسكرا يبعد حوالى 350 كلم عن المعبر الحدودي العراقي الكويتي الذي لفته الاسلاك الشائكة.

وقال الجندي مارتن لمب لدى وصوله الى المعبر الحدودي "انها لحظة تاريخية"، فيما رأى زميله جوزف الذي فضل عدم الكشف عن اسم عائلته ان "العراقيين سيستفيقون اليوم ولن نكون نحن هناك".

وسيبقى في العراق 157 جنديا من الجنود الأمريكيين يساعدون على تدريب القوات العراقية ويعملون تحت سلطة واشراف السفارة الامريكية، اضافة الى فرقة صغيرة من المارينز مكلفة بحماية بعثة بلادها الدبلوماسية.

وجاء الانسحاب الامريكي تطبيقا لاتفاقية امنية وقعت عام 2008 بين بغداد وواشنطن علما ان الرئيس الاميركي باراك اوباما اكد في اكتوبر الانسحاب الكامل اثر رفض العراق منح آلاف الجنود الامريكيين حصانة قانونية.

وبعد أن بلغ عدد الجنود الامريكيين ذروته عام 2007 بانتشار 170 الف جندي انهمكوا في محاربة التمرد المسلح، بقي حوالى 50 ألفا منهم لدى انتهاء العمليات القتالية في أوت 2010، انشغلوا بتدريب القوات العراقية.
