قنبلة دخانية على البيت الأبيض

قال متحدث باسم جهاز أمن الرئاسة بالولايات المتحدة إن منافذ البيت الأبيض أغلقت الليلة الماضية بعدما ألقى شخص ما يبدو أنها قنبلة دخان دخانية فوق السور الشمالي لمجمع البيت الرئاسي، بينما كان الرئيس بارمك أوباما وزوجته في مطعم قريب.
السلطات بدأت التحقيقات في الحادث ولم يتم اعتقال أي شخص حتى الآن، وأضافت أن الرئيس كان يحتفل وزوجته ميشيل أوباما بعيد ميلادها الـ48 في مطعم يبعد أمتارا قليلة عن البيت الأبيض، لكنهما عادا من البوابة الجنوبية، وهي البوابة التي يستخدمها أوباما عادة في الدخول والخروج.
وذكر المتحدث باسم أمن الرئاسة جورج أوجيلفاي إن العبوة قذف بها فوق السور أثناء مشاركة عدد من أعضاء حركة "احتلوا دي.سي" في مظاهرة احتجاج خارج البيت الأبيض، وفضت سلطات الأمن هذه المظاهرة.
وأضافت أن المتظاهرين -فيما يبدو- كانوا متأثرين بذكرى زعيم الحقوق المدنية مارثن لوثر كينغ.
وكانت مواجهات قد وقعت بين المتظاهرين وقوات الشرطة قبل الحادث قبالة البيت الأبيض، واعتقل أربعة متظاهرين اتهم أحدهم بالاعتداء على قوات الشرطة، والثلاثة الآخرون بعبور الخط المخصص للمتظاهرين.
وقال شهود عيان إن قوات الأمن طوقت الشوارع المحيطة في المنطقة، كما هو المعتاد عندما يكون هناك استنفار أمني طفيف حول البيت الرئاسي.
ومنعت السلطات أعضاء التغطية الإعلامية بالبيت الأبيض من المغادرة لمدة 45 دقيقة، كما أغلق طريق بنسلفانيا الواقع أمام البيت أثناء التحقيقات.
وسار المحتجون إلى البيت الأبيض بعدما تجمعوا في وقت سابق عند مجمع الكونغرس احتجاجا على النظام المالي ونفوذ أصحاب المال على المشرعين.

وظهرت حركة "احتلوا دي .سي" في سبتمبرالماضي بنيويورك احتجاجا على الظلم الاقتصادي والبطالة والنظام المالي، لكنها سرعان ما كسبت التأييد الشعبي وامتدت إلى العديد من المدن الأميركية، فظهرت حركة "احتلوا أوكلاند" في ولاية كاليفورنيا.
واحتل مؤيدو "احتلوا وول ستريت" ساحة في متنزه زوكوتي بحي المال في نيويورك والذي يعد الأهم في الولايات المتحدة، وذلك تنديدا بما سموه جشع وول ستريت واحتجاجا على المظالم الاقتصادية.
ولإيصال رسالتها إلى صناع القرار الأميركي، نظمت الحركة عبر المحتجين منذ 17 سبتمبرالماضي اعتصامات ومخيمات تحولت إلى مجتمعات مصغرة مع طباخين خاصين ومكتبات ومرافق طبية وصحف يومية وحتى مراكز لتوزيع ملابس للبرد.
ورفعت الحركة شعارات منها أنها تمثل 99% من سكان الولايات المتحدة، في مقابل 1% من الذين يملكون المال ويتحكمون برقاب الناس عبر نفوذهم في الميادين الحكومية والمؤسسات المالية.
وتصدت السلطات الأميركية للحركة وغيرها من الحركات المماثلة في الولايات الأخرى، عبر محاولات تفكيك الخيم التي نصبت واعتقال العديد من المحتجين
