اندلع صباح اليوم، الجمعة، حريق داخل شقة بشارع مكرم عبيد بمدينة نصر، والشقة خاصة بالدكتور إبراهيم الفقى، خبير التنمية البشرية.

و تم العثور جثة الدكتور الشهير وشقيقته"فوقية" ،والخادمة الخاصة بهما "نوال" متوفين إثر احتراقهم وعدم تمكنهم من الخروج قبل أن تلتهمهم النيران.

يقال أن آخر ما كتبه الدكتور إبراهيم الفقي قبل عشر ساعات من وفاته على تويتر :-
إبتعد عن الأشخاص الذين يحاولون التقليل من طموحاتك بينما الناس العظماء هم الذين يشعرونك أنك باستطاعتك أن تصبح واحدا منهم

لم أصدق الخبر لما سمعته وحزنت كثيرا لوفات أفضل رفيق لي في حياتي ومثلي الأغلى والأعلى في الوجود، والله لخسارة كبيرة للبشرية أن تفقد رجلا بمكانته ووزنه وتأثيره في المجتمع الإنساني ككل،

من هو إبراهيم الفقي؟

بدأ حياته في غسل الصحون ومات وفي حوزته 23 دبلوما وشهادة

هو أشهر خبراء التنمية البشرية في العالم العربي، وكانت الانطلاقة الأولى له في هذا المجال خارج العالم العربي من خلال محاضرة ألقاها في احدى شركات البترول أمام 1500 شخص، بعدها تنقل بين عدة دول منها كندا، أمريكا، الصين، أستراليا، أوروبا، وحظيت المحاضرات التى ألقاها في هذه الدول بحضور جماهيري واسع.

وفي أحد حوارته، ذكر الفقي أن أسباب اهتمامه بنشر هذا العلم في العالم العربي كانت بسبب رجل مغربي مقيم في نيويورك اتهمه بالأنانية وسأله: "كيف تسافر وتحاضر في كل العالم وتترك الوطن العربي".

ومن حينها، اتخذ الفقي قرار التوجه لمصر ونشر مجال التنمية البشرية، كانت بداية الفقي العملية بعيدة تماماً عن مجال التنمية البشرية، حين سافر سنة 1977 إلى كندا، وبدأ حياته في غسل الصحون في أحد الفنادق الفرنسية، فكان يحمل طاولات وكراس، ثم طرد من العمل عدة مرات، لكن عزيمته وطموحه دفعاه للاستمرار في العمل ليحصل على مرتبة الشرف الأولى في السلوك البشري من المؤسسة الأمريكية للفنادق، ومرتبة الشرف الأولى في الإدارة والمبيعات من المؤسسة الأمريكية للفنادق. واستطاع الفقي أن يحصل على 23 دبلوما في مجالات التنمية البشرية والإدارة والمبيعات والتسويق اضافة الى دكتوراه في علم الميتافيزيقا من جامعة لوس أنجلوس بالولايات المتحدة الأمريكية.
