كلام رائع للعلامة ابن باديس رحمه الله :

والإخلاص أن تعمل لوطنك ولو أنكرك وأنكر عملك أبناءُ وطنك، وتكريسُ العمل أن تكون جميع أعمالك عائدة بالخير على وطنك، فتستطيع أن تنفع الناس كلهم دون أن تضر بوطنك، فتكون قد خدمت وطنك بما زرعت له من محبة في قلوب من أحسنت إليهم من الناس.
فحِبَّ وطنك ولا تُبغض أوطان الناس، انفع وطنك ولا تضر أوطانا أخرى، بل اجتهد لأن تكون مصدر محبة شاملة ونفع عام.

ويقول –رحمه الله- في موطن آخر:

"أمّا الجزائر فهي وطني الخاص الذي تربطني بأهله روابط من الماضي والحاضر والمستقبل بوجه خاص، وتفرض علي تلك الروابط لأجله ـ كجزء منه ـ فروضا خاصة، وأنا أشعر بأن كل مقوماتي الشخصية مستمدة منه مباشرة. فأرى من الواجب أن تكون خدماتي أول ما تتصل به من شيء تتصل به مباشرة. وكما أنني كلما أردت أن أعمل عملا وجدتُني في حاجة إليه، إلى رجاله، وإلى ماله، والى حاله، وإلى آلامه، وإلى آماله، كذلك أجدني إذا عملت قد خدمت بعملي ناحية أو أكثر مما كنت في حاجة إليه".

وقال أيضا :

"إنّ وطننا الجزائر واسع الأطراف، متعدد المناطق والبيئات، حتى كاد يستقل بعضها عن بعض، فوجب علينا أن نربط بين حاضرته وباديته بما لدينا من وسائل الاتصال حتى نقرب بينها تقريبا يجعل المواطنين يتعارفون ويتعاونون كأبناء وطن واحد. وإن من جملة الوسائل التي تساعد على تحقيق هذا الهدف في مطلع نهضتنا العلمية؛ هذه الحلقاتُ التي استطاعت بفضل الله أن تجمعكم من عدة جهات، لا فرق بين من قدِموا إليها من الحواضر وبين من قدِموا من البوادي، وإني لأكون فرحا مغتبطا حينما ألتفت حولي فأجد أبناء الصحراء بجنب أبناء الجبال وأبناء الحاضرة بجنب أبناء البادية، والجميع قد جمعتهم هذه الحلقات العلمية في صعيد واحد، لا فضل لأي منهم على الآخر إلا بالاجتهاد والعمل".
