نتقل إلى رحمة الله، اليوم السبت، رئيس الجمهورية الأسبق الشاذلي بن جديد عن عمر يناهز الـ 83 سنة بالمستشفى العسكري محمد الصغير النقاش بعين النعجة (الجزائر)، حسب ما علم من عائلة الفقيد.

وقد تدهورت الحالة الصحية للفقيد في الأونة الأخيرة، حيث أدخل إلى هذا المستشفى منذ أزيد من أسبوع أين خضع إلى العناية المركزة.


غيَّب الموت اليوم السبت الرئيس الجزائري الأسبق، الشاذلي بن جديد، "أب الديمقراطية"، كما يصفه الجزائريون، فهو الرئيس الأول الذي فتح نافذة الديمقراطية على الجزائريين، بعدما أقرّ تعديل دستور البلاد، ونقلها من حكم الحزب الواحد، إلى عهد التعددية السياسية.

وتوفي الرئيس الجزائري الأسبق عن عمر يناهز الـ83 عاماً، بالمستشفى العسكري بالجزائر العاصمة، إثر أزمة قلبية، كان قد أدخل إثرها المستشفى يوم الأربعاء الماضي، عقب تدهور مفاجئ في حالته الصحية.
رحيل في ذكرى أليمة

ويتزامن رحيل الشاذلي بن جديد مع مرور 24 سنة على أحداث الخامس من أكتوبر/تشرين الأول 1988، التي كان خلالها بن جديد في آخر ثلاث سنوات من حكمه الذي بدأه عام 1979.

الشاذلي بن جديد، من مواليد 14 أبريل/نيسان، 1929 في قرية بوثلجة بولاية عنابة، وكان الرئيس الثالث للجزائر بعد الاستقلال، بعد كل من الراحلين، أحمد بن بلة وهوراي بومدين.

وكان بن جديد وزيراً للدفاع من نوفمبر/تشرين الثاني 1978، وحتى فبراير/شباط 1979. وأصبح بعد وفاة هواري بومدين رئيساً للجزائر خلافًا لما كان يعتقد وقتها أن بومدين سيخلفه في كرسي الرئاسة، إما عبدالعزيز بوتفليقة أو محمد صالح يحياوي، وهما من كبار ساسة البلد، وقادة الحزب الحاكم، جبهة التحرير الوطني.
