اعتقال الرئيسة الفلبينية السابقة بتهمة اختلاس 9 ملايين دولار من أموال الدولة

أعلنت الشرطة الفلبينية، الخميس الماضي، أنه تم وضع رئيسة الفلبين السابقة، جلوريا ماكاجبال أوريو، قيد الاحتجاز في مستشفى لاتهامها بالتآمر لاختلاس نحو 9 ملايين دولار من أموال الدولة.

وقال جويل كورونيل، مدير وحدة التحقيقات الجنائية بالشرطة، إن الشرطة نفذت مذكرة الاعتقال بحق «أوريو» (65 عاما) في مستشفى عسكري، حيث نقلت هناك لإصابتها بالجفاف وفقدان الحس في يديها في وقت مبكر من الخميس الماضي. وقال كورونيل إن «أوريو»، العضوة حاليا فى مجلس النواب، سوف يتم احتجازها مؤقتا فى مركز فيتيران الطبي بعدما إستبعد الأطباء نقلها بسبب ارتفاع ضغط الدم والجفاف.

وأضاف للصحفيين خارج المستشفى: «ابتداء من هذا الوقت تعتبر الرئيسة السابقة وعضوة مجلس النواب جلوريا ماكاجبال أوريو قيد الإحتجاز من قبل الشرطة الوطنية الفلبينية».

وقال «سوف تبقى محتجزة وتخضع للعلاج الطبي، وسوف نترك مسألة إصدار أمر بنقلها أو استمرار احتجازها فى المستشفى للمحكمة».

وهذه تعد ثالث مذكرة اعتقال تصدر بحق أوريو، التي تم الإفراج عنها بكفالة فى جويلية الماضي بعدما أمضت ثمانية أشهر محتجزة فى مستشفى عسكري لاتهامها بالتزوير فى الانتخابات.

ويشار إلى أن تهمة نهب ما لا يقل عن 1.2 مليون دولار عقوبتها السجن مدى الحياة، ولا يخرج المتهم بها بكفالة.

كان قد تم وضع «أوريو» قيد الاحتجاز بعد يوم من تقديمها أوراق إعادة ترشيحها فى مجلس النواب منتصف ماي الماضي. وتتهم المحكمة «أوريو» ومسؤولين سابقين بلجنة الياناصيب الوطني بالتآمر لاختلاس 365.99 مليون بيسو (8.82 مليون دولار) خلال 2008 -2010.
