[حنين اشتياق]

فإذا رجل نائم، وفرس عند رأسه ترعى، فحرَّكناه، وقلنا له: ألا تخاف أن
تنام في مثل هذا الموضع المَخُوف وهو مُسْبِع؟ فرفع رأسه، وقال: أنا أستحي

لما احتُضر الأسود بن يزيد بكى، فقيل له: ما هذا الجزع؟ قال: ما لي لا
أجزعُ؟! ومَنْ أحق مني بذلك؟ والله لو أُتيت بالمغفرة من الله لأهمني
الحياء منه ممَّا قد صنعت، وإن الرجل ليكون بينه وبين الرجل الذَّنْبَ

قال جعفر الصائغ: كان في جيران أبي عبد الله أحمد بن محمد بن حنبل رجل
ممَّن يمارِس المعاصي والقاذورات، فجاء يومًا إلى مجلس أحمد يُسَلِّمُ
عليه، فكأنَّ أحمد لم يَرُدَّ عليه ردًّا تامًّا وانقبض منه، فقال له: يا
أبا عبد الله، لِمَ تنقبض مني؟! فإني قد انتقلت عمَّا كنتُ تعهدني برؤيا
رأيتها. قال: وأي شيء رأيت؟ قال: رأيت النبي في النوم كأنه على علوٍّ من
الأرض، وناس كثير أسفل جلوس. قال: فيقوم رجل رجل منهم إليه، فيقول: ادع
لي. فيدعو له، حتى لم يبقَ من القوم غيري.

قال:
فأردت أن أقوم، فاستحيت من قبيح ما كنت عليه، قال لي: "يا فلان، لِمَ لا
تقوم إلي فتَسْأَلْني أدعو لك؟" قال: قلت: يا رسول الله، يقطعني الحياء
لقبيح ما أنا عليه. فقال: "إن كان يقطعك الحياء فقم فسلني أدعُ لك، فإنك
لا تسبُّ أحدًا من أصحابي". قال: فقمت، فدعا لي، فانتبهت وقد بَغَّضَ
اللهُ إليَّ ما كنت عليه. قال: فقال لنا أبو عبد الله: يا جعفر، يا فلان

عن عائشة قالت: كنتُ أدخل بيتي الذي دُفِنَ فيه رسول الله وأبي، فأضع
ثوبي، فأقول: إنما هو زوجي وأبي، فلمَّا دُفِنَ عمر معهم، فوالله ما دخلتُ
