خرجنا عاقرين

ما وجدنا وطنا نسكنه
إلا السراب
ليس صلحا
ذلك الصلح الذي ادخل كالخنجر فينا
إنه فعل اغتصاب
ما تفيد الهرولة؟

خردلة كم حلمنا بسلام اخضر

لهم شكل الضفادع
وتشردنا إلى أرصفة الحزن
فلا من بلد نحضنه
أو من ولد!!
لم يكن في العرس رقص عربي
أو طعام عربي
أو غناء عربي
أو حياء عربي
فلقد غاب عن الزفة أولاد البلد
كان نصف المهر بالدولار
كان الخاتم الماسي بالدولار
كانت أجرة المأذون بالدولار
والكعكة كانت هبة من أمريكا
وغطاء العرس، و الأزهار، والشمع،
وموسيقى المارنز
كلها قد صنعت في أمريكا
وانتهى العرس.. ولم تحضر
فلسطين الفرح
بل رأت صورتها مبثوثة عبر كل الأقنية
ورأت دمعتها تعبر أمواج المحيط
نحو شيكاغو.. وجيرسي
وميامى
وهي مثل الطائر المذبوح تصرخ:
ليس هذا العرس عرسي
