حـذاء أبي القاسـم




كان لأبي القاسم الطُّنْبوري حذاء لبسه سبع سنين، كلما تَقَطّع منه موضع جعل مكانه رقعةً إلى أن صار في غاية الثِّقل، وصار الناسُ يضربون به المثل.‏ ‏ واتفق أنه دخل يوما سوق الزُّجاج، فقال له سمسار: يا أبا القاسم، قد قدِم إلى بغداد اليوم تاجرٌ من حَلَب، ومعه حِمْلُ زجاج مُذَهّب قد كَسَدَ. فاشتَرِه منه وأنا أبيعه لك بعد مدة فتكسِبُ به المثل مِثلَين. ‏ ‏ فمضى أبو القاسم واشتراه بستين دينارا.‏ ‏ ثم إنه دخل إلى سوق العطارين، فصادفه سمسار آخر وقال له: يا أبا القاسم، قد قَدِم إلينا اليوم من نَصيبين تاجر يبيع ماء ورد. ولِعَجَلَةِ سفره يمكن أن تشتريه منه رخيصًا، وأنا أبيعه لك فيما بعد فتكسِبُ به المثل مِثلين. ‏ ‏ فاشتراه أبو القاسم بستين دينارا أخرى، وملأ به الأواني الزجاجية المذهبة، ووضعها على رف من رفوف بيته. ‏ ‏ ثم إنه دخل الحمام يغتسل، فقال له بعض أصدقائه: ‏ ‏ يا أبا القاسم، غَيِّر حذاءك هذا فإنه في غاية الشناعة. وأنت ذو مال بحمد الله. ‏ ‏ فقال له أبو القاسم: الحق معك. ‏ ‏ ثم إنه خرج من الحمام ولبس ثيابه، فرأى بجانب حذائه حذاء آخر جديدا. فظن أن صديقه من كرمه قد اشتراه هدية له، فلبسه ومضى إلى بيته. ‏ ‏ وكان ذلك الحذاء الجديد للقاضي، وقد جاء في ذلك اليوم إلى الحمام. فلما خرج فتّش عن حذائه فلم يجده. فسأل الناس: ألم يترك من لبس حذائي عوضه شيئا؟ ‏ ‏ ففتشوا فلم يجدوا سوى حذاء أبي القاسم، فعرفوه إذ كان يُضرب به المثل. ‏ ‏ فأرسل القاضي خدمه فكبسوا بيت أبي القاسم، فوجدوا حذاء القاضي عنده. فأخذوه فضربه القاضي تأديبا له، وحبسه مدة، وغرّمه بعض المال، ثم أطلقه. ‏ ‏ وخرج أبو القاسم من الحبس وأخذ حذاءه وهو غضبان عليه، ومضى إلى نهر دجلة فألقاه فيه، فغاص في الماء. ‏ ‏ وأتى بعض الصيادين ورمى شبكته، فطلع الحذاء فيها! فلما رآه الصياد عرفه، وظن أنه وقع من أبي القاسم في دجلة. فحمله وأتى به بيته فلم يجده. ونظر فرأى نافذة في البيت مفتوحة فرمى الحذاء منها، فسقط على الرف الذي عليه الأواني الزجاجية فوقع، وتكسّرت الأواني وتبدّد ماء الورد! ‏ ‏ وجاء أبو القاسم ونظر إلى ما حدث، فلطم وجهه وجعل يبكي ويلعن الحذاء. ‏ ‏ ثم إنه قام في الليل ليحفر له حفرة يدفنه فيها ويرتاح منه، فسمع الجيران حسّ الحفر فظنوا أن لصا ينقب عليهم، فقبضوا عليه وأحضروه إلى الحاكم فحبسه، ولم يُطلقه حتى غَرِم بعض المال.‏ ‏ ثم خرج من السجن فحمل حذاءه إلى الخان فرماه في الكنيف، فَسَدَّ قصبتَه ففاض! وضجر الناس من الرائحة الكريهة وبحثوا عن السبب فوجدوا حذاء فتأمّلوه، فإذا هو حذاء أبي القاسم! فحملوه إلى الوالي وأخبروه بما وقع، فوبّخ الوالي أبا القاسم وغرّمه مالا لتصليح الكنيف، ثم أُطلق. ‏ ‏ وخرج أبو القاسم والحذاء معه. وقال في نفسه: ‏ ‏ والله ما عدتُ أفارق هذا الحذاء! ‏ ‏ ثم إنه غسله وجعله على سطح بيته حتى يجفّ. فرآه كلب فظنّه رِمَّةً فحمله وعبر به إلى سطح آخر، فسقط الحذاء على رأس رجل في الطريق فآلمه وجرحه جرحا بليغا. وفتشوا لمن الحذاء فعرفوا أنه لأبي القاسم! ‏ ‏ ورفعوا الأمر إلى الحاكم فألزمه بالعِوَض والقيام بلوازم المجروح مُدَّةَ مرضه. ‏ ‏ ثم إن أبا القاسم أخذ الحذاء، ومضى به إلى القاضي وقال له: ‏ ‏ أريد من مولانا القاضي أن يكتب بيني وبين هذا الحذاء مبارأة شرعية على أنه ليس مني ولستُ منه، وأن كلا منا بريء من صاحبه، وأنه مهما يفعله هذا الحذاء لا أؤاخذ أنا به!
