1 تَلُوحُ كَبَاقي الْوَشْمِ في طَاهِرِ الْيَدِ لخِولة أَطْلالٌ بِيَرْقَةِ ثَهْمَدِ
2 يَقُولُونَ لا تَهْلِكْ أَسَىً وَتَجَلَّدِ وُقُوفاً بِهَا صَحْبي عَلَيَّ مطِيَّهُمْ
3 خَلا يا سَفِين بِالنَّوَاصِفِ مِنْ دَدِ كأنَّ حُدُوجَ الَمْالِكِيَّةِ غُدْوَةً
4 يَجُوز بُهَا الْمّلاحُ طَوراً وَيَهْتَدِي عَدُو لِيَّةٌ أَوْ مِنْ سَفِينِ ابْنِ يَامِنٍ
5 كما قَسَمَ التِّرْبَ الْمَفايِلُ باليَدِ يَشُقُّ حَبَابَ الَماءِ حَيْزُ ومُها بها
6 مُظَاهِرِ سُمْطَيْ لُؤْلؤٍ وَزَبَرْجَدِ وفِي الَحيِّ أَخْوَى يَنْفُضُ المرْ دَشادِنٌ
7 تَنَاوَلُ أَطْرَافَ الَبريرِ وَتَرْتَدِي خَذُولٌ تُراعي رَبْرَباً بِخَميلَةٍ
8 تَخَلَّلَ حُرَّ الرَّمْلِ دِعْصٍ لَهُ نَدِ وَتَبْسِمُ عَنْ أَلْمى كأَنَّ مُنَوّراً
9 أُسِفّ وَلَمْ تَكْدِمْ عَلَيْهِ بإثْمدِ سَقَتْهُ إِيَاُة الشَّمْس إِلا لِثَاتِهِ
10 عَلَيْهِ نَقِيُّ اللَّوْنِ لَمْ يَتَخَدَّدِ وَوَجْهٌ كأنَّ الشَّمْسَ أَلفَتْ رِداءَهَا
11 بِعَوْجَاءَ مِرْقَالٍ تَرُوحُ وَتَغْتَدِي وَإِني لاُ مْضِي الَهمَّ عِنْدَ احْتِضَارِهِ
12 على لاحِبٍ كأَنّهُ ظَهْرُ بُرْجُدِ أَمونٍ كأَلْوَاحِ الإِرانِ نَصَأتُها
13 سَفَنجَةٌ تَبْري لأَزْعَرَ أَرْبَدِ جَمَاِليَّةٍ وَجْنَاءَ تَرْدي كَأنَّها
14 وَظيفاً وَظيفاً فَوْقَ مَوْرٍ مُعَبَّرِ تُبارِي عِتَاقاً ناجِياتٍ وَأَتْبَعَتْ
15 حَدَائِقَ مَوْليَّ الاسِرَّةِ أَغْيَدِ تَرَبَّعَتِ الْقُفّيْنِ فِي الشَّوْلِ تَرْتَعِي
16 بذي خُصَلٍ رَوْعَاتِ أَكلَفَ مُلْبِدِ تَرِيعُ إِلىَ صَوْتِ الُمهِيبِ وَتَتَّقي
17 حِفا فيهِ شُكّا في العَسِيبِ بِمسْرَدِ كَأنَّ جنَاحَيْ مَضْرَ حيِّ تَكَنَّفَا
18 على حَشَفٍ كالشَّنّ ذاوٍ مُجَدَّدِ فَطَوْراً بهِ خَلْفَ الزّميلِ وَتَارَةً
19 كأنّهما بابا مُنيفٍ مُمَرَّدِ لها فَخِذَانِ أُكمِلَ النَّحْضُ فيهما
20 وَأجْرِنَةٌ لُزَّتْ بدَأْيٍ مُنَضَّدِ وَطَيِّ مُحالٍ كالَحنيّ خُلُوفُهُ
21 وَأَطْرَ قِسِيِّ تَحْتَ صُلْبٍ مُؤَبَّدِ كأنّ كِناسَيْ ضَالَةٍ يُكْنِفانِها
22 تَمُرُّ بِسَلْمَيْ داِلجٍ مُتَشَدِّدِ لها مِرْفَقَانِ أَفْتَلانِ كأنّها
23 لَتُكْتَنَفَنْ حتى تُشادَ بِقَرْمَدِ كقَنْطَرَةِ الرُّوِميّ أَقْسَمَ ربّها
24 بعيدةُ وَخْدِ الرّجْلِ مَوّارَةُ اليَدِ صُهابِيّةُ الْعُثْنُونِ مُو جَدَةُ الْقَرَا
25 لها عَضُداها في سَقيفٍ مُسَنَّدِ أُمِرَّتْ يَدَاها فَتْلَ شَزْرٍ وأُجْنِحَتْ
26 لها كتِفَاها في مُعالي مُصَعَّدِ جَنُوحٌ دِفَاقٌ عَنْدَلٌ ثمَّ أُفْرِعَتْ
27 مَوَارِدُ من خَلْقاءَ في ظهرِ قَرْدَدِ كأَنَّ عُلوبَ النَّسْعِ في دَأَيَاتِها
28 بَنائِقُ غَرِّ في قَميصٍ مُقَدَّدِ تَلاقَى وَأَحْياناً تَبينُ كأنّها
29 كسُكّانِ بُوِصيِّ بِدْجِلَةَ مُصْعِدِ وَأَتْلَغُ نَهَّاضٌ صَعَّدَتْ بِهِ
30 وَعى الُمْلَتقى منها إِلى حرْفِ مِبْرَدِ وَجُمْجُمَةٌ مِثْلُ الْعَلاةِ كأنّما
31 كسِبْتِ الْيَماني قَدُّهُ لم يُجَرَّدِ وَخَد كقِرْطاسِ الشّآمي ومِشْفَرٌ
32 بكهفَي حجَاجَي صَخْرَةٍ قلْتِ مَوْرِدِ وَعَيْنَانِ كالَماوِيَتَيْنِ اسْتَكَنّتا
33 كمِكْحَلَتَيْ مذعورَةٍ أُمِّ فَرْقَدِ طَحورانِ عُوّارَ الْقَذَى فَتَراهُما
34 لِهَجْسٍ خَفِيٍّ أَوْ لِصَوْتٍ مُنَدِّدِ وَصَادِفَتَا سَمْعِ التَّوَجُّسِ للسُّرى
35 كسامِعَتَيْ شاةٍ بحَوْمَلَ مُفْرَدِ مُوَلّلتانِ تَعْرِف الْعِتْقَ فيهِما
36 كمِرْداةِ صَخْرٍ في صَفِيحٍ مُصَمَّدِ وَأرْوَعُ نَبَّاضٌ أَحدُّ مُلَمْلمٌ
37 عَتيقٌ متى تَرْجُمْ به اْلأَرْضَ تَزْددِ وَأَعْلَمُ مَخْرُوتٌ من اْلأَنفِ مارِنٌ
38 مَخَافَةَ مَلْوِيِّ مِنَ الْقَدِّ مُحْصَدِ وَإِنْ شئتُ لم تُرْقِلْ وَإِنْ شئتُ أَرْقَلَتْ
39 وَعامَتْ بضَبْعَيها نجاءَا الخَفَيْدَدِ وَإِنْ شئتُ سلمى وَاسطَ الكورِ رَأسهَا
40 أَلا لَيْتَني أَفديكَ منها وَأفْتَدي على مِثْلِهَا أَمْضي إِذَا قالَ صاحبي،
41 مُصَاباً وَلَوْ أمْسَى على غيرِ مَرْصَدِ وَجاشَتْ إِلَيْهِ النَّفْسُ خَوفْاً وَخاَله
42 عُنِيتُ فلَم أَكْسَلْ وَلَمْ أَتَبَلَّدِ إِذَا الْقَوْمُ قالوا مَنْ فَتًىِ خلْتُ أَنَّني
43 وَقَدْ خَبَّ آلُ اْلأَمْعَزِ اُلمتوَقِّدَّ أَحلْتُ عَلَيْها بالقطيع فأجِذَمَت
44 تُرِي رَبَّهَا أَذيالَ سَحلٍ مَمددِ فَذالتْ كما ذالتْ وَليدَة مَجْلِسٍ
45 وَلكِنْ متى يَسْتَرْفِدِ الْقَوْمُ أَرْفِدِ وَلَسْتُ بِحَلاَّلِ التِّلاعِ مَخافَةً
46 وَإِنْ تَلْتَمِسْني في الَحْوَانِيتِ تَصْطَدِ فَإِنْ تَبْغِني في حَلْقَةِ القَوْمِ تلِقَني
47 إِلى ذِرْوَةِ البَيْتِ الشَّرِيفِ الُمصَمَّدِ وَإِنْ يَلْتَقِ الَحْيُّ الَجْمِيعُ تُلاِقني
48 تَرُوحُ عَليْنَا بينَ بُرْدٍ وَمَجْسَدِ نَدَامايَ بيضٌ كالنجوم وَقَيْنَةٌ
49 بِجَسِّ النَّدامَى بَضَّةُ اُلمتَجَردِ رَحيبٌ قِطَابُ الَجْيْبِ منْهَا رَقِيقةٌ
50 على رِسْلِها مَطْرُوقَةً لم تَشَدَّدِ إِذَا نَحْنُ قُلْنَا أَسْمعِينا انْبَرَتْ لَنَا
51 تَجاوُبَ أَظْآرٍ على رُبَعٍ رَدِ إِذَا رَجَعَتْ في صَوْتِهَا خِلْتَ صَوْتَها
52 وَبَيْعِي وَإِنْفَاقي طَريفي وَمُتْلَدِي وَمَا زالَ تَشْرابي الُخْمورَ وَلَذَّتي
53 وَأُفْرِدْتُ إِفْرَادَ الْبَعِيرِ الُمعَبَّدِ إِلى أَنْ تَحامَتْني الْعَشيرَةُ كُلّهَا
54 وَلا أَهْلُ هذاكَ الِّطرافِ الُممَددِ رَأَيتُ بَنِي غَبْراء لا يُنْكِرُونَني
55 فَدَعْني أبادِرْهَا بِمَا مَلَكَتْ يَدِي فإِنْ كنتَ لا تسْتطِيعُ دَفْعَ مَنِيَّتي
56 وَجدِّكَ لم أَحفِلْ مَتى قامَ عُوْدي ولَولا ثَلاثٌ هُنَّ من عيشةِ الْفَتى
57 كُمَيْتٍ متى ما تُعْلَ باَلماءِ تُزْبِدِ فَمِنْهُنّ سَبْقِي الْعاذِلاتِ بِشَربَةٍ
58 كَسِيدِ الْغَضا نَبّهْتَهُ الُمتَوَرِّدِ وَكَرِّي إِذَا نادَى اُلمضافُ مُحَنَّباً
59 بِبَهْكَنَةٍ تَحْتَ الخِباءِ الُمعَمَّدِ وَتقصيرُ يوم الدَّجنِ والدجنُ مُعجِبٌ
60 على عُشَرٍ أو خِروَعٍ لم يُخَضَّدِ كَأَنّ الْبُريَنَ وَالدَّماليجَ عُلِّقَتْ
61 سَتَعْلَمُ إِن مُتْنا غَداً أَيّنا الصدي كَرِيمٌ يروِّي نَفْسَهُ في حَيَاتِه
62 كقَبْرِ غوِيِّ في البطالَةِ مُفْسِدِ أَرَى قَبْرَ نَحّامٍ بَخَيلٍ بِمَاله
63 صَفَائحُ صُمِّ من صَفيحٍ مُنَضَّدِ تَرَىَ جشوَتَيْنِ من تُراب عَلَيْهمَا
64 عَقِيَلةَ مَالِ الْفَاِحشِ اُلمتَشَدِّدِ أَرى اَلموت يَعْتامُ الكِرَامَ ويَصْطفي
65 وَمَا تَنْقُصِ الأيَّامُ وَالدّهرُ يَنْفَدِ أرَى الْعَيْشَ كنزاً ناقصاً كلّ ليْلَةٍ
66 لكَالطَّوَلِ اُلمرْخَى وثِنْيَاهُ بِاليَدِ لَعَمْرُكَ إِنّ اَلموَتَ مَا أَخْطأَ الْفَتى
67 مَتَى أَدْنُ مِنْه يَنْأَ عَنِّي وَيَبْعُدِ فمالي أرَاني وَابْنَ عَمِّيَ مَالِكاً
68 كما لامني في الحيّ قُرْطُ بنُ مَعْبدِ يَلُومُ ومَا أَدْرِي عَلاَمَ يَلُوُمني
69 كأنَّا وَضَعنَاهُ إِلى رَمْسِ مُلْحَدِ وأَيْأَسَنيِ من كل خَيْرٍ طَلَبتُهُ
70 نَشَدْتُ فلم أُغْفِل حَمولَةَ مَعْبَدِ على غَيْرِ شيءٍ قُلْتُهُ غَيْرَ أَنَّني
71 متى يَكُ أَمْرٌ لِلنّكيثَةِ أَشْهَدِ وَقَرّبْتُ بالقُرْبَى وَجدَّكَ إِنَّني
72 وإِنْ يَأَتِكَ الأَعْدَاءُ بالجَهْدِ أَجْهَدِ وإِنْ أُدْعَ للجُلىَّ أَكنْ مِنْ حُماتِها
73 بكَأْسِ حِيَاضِ الموتِ قبلَ التهدُّدِ وإِنْ يَقذِفُوا بالقذعِ عِرْضَك أَسْقِهِمْ
74 هِجائي وقَذْفي بالشَّكَاةِ ومُطْرَدِي بِلاَ حدَثٍ أَحْدَثْتُهُ وكَمُحْدَثٍ
75 لَفَرَّجَ كَرْبي أَوْ لأنظَرَني غَدِي فَلَوْ كان مَوْلايَ أمْرُءٌا هُوَ غَيْرَهُ
76 على الشُّكْرِ والتَّسْآل أَوْ أَنَا مُفْتَدِ وَلكِنّ مَوْلايَ آمْرُءٌ هُوَ خانقي
77 على الَمرءِ مِن وَقْعِ الُحسامِ الُمهَنَّدِ وظُلْمُ ذَوي الْقُرْبَى أَشَدُّ مضاضَةً
78 وَلوْ حَلّ بَيْتي نائباً عند ضَرْغَدِ فَذَرْني وَخُلْقي، إِنَّني لَكَ شَاكِرٌ
79 وَلَوْ شَاءَ رَبي كُنْتُ عَمرو بن مَرْثَدِ فَلَوْ شَاءَ رَبّي كُنتُ قَيسَ بنَ خَالِدٍ
80 بَنونٌ كرامٌ سادَةٌ لُمِسَوَّدِ فأَصْبَحْتُ ذَا مَالٍ كثيرٍ وَزَارَني
81 خَشاشٌ كرَأْسِ الَحيّة الُمَتَوقّدِ أَنا الرّجُلُ الضَّرْب الَّذِي تَعْرِفُوَنهُ
82 لِعَضْبٍ رَقِيقِ الشَّفْرَتَيْنِ مُهَنَّدِ فَآليْتُ لا يَنْفَكُّ كشْجِي بطانَةً
83 كفى الْعَوْدَ منه الْبَدءُ ليسَ بِمعْضَدِ حُسَامٍ إِذَا ما قُمتُ مُنتَصِراً به
84 إِذَا قِيلَ مَهْلاً قالَ حاِجزُهُ قَدِي أَخِيِ تقَةٍ لا يَنْثَنيِ عَنْ ضَرِيبةٍ

92 وَشُقِّي عَلَيَّ الَجَيْب يَا أبْنَةَ مَعْبَدِ فإِنْ مِتُّ فانْعِيني بِما أنَا أَهْلُةُ
93 كهَمِّي وَلا يُغْنِي غَنائي ومَشْهَدِي وَلا تَجْعَلِيني كامرِىءٍ لَيْسَ هَمُّهُ
94 ذَلُولٍ بأَجماعِ الرِّجَالِ مُلَهَّدِ بَطِيءٍ عَن الُجْلَّي سَرِيع الى الخَنا
95 عَدَاوَةُ ذِي اْلأَصْحَابِ وَالُمَتوَحِّدِ فَلوْ كُنْتُ وَغلاً في الرِّجالِ لَضَرَّني
96 عَلَيْهِمْ وَإِقْدَامِي وَصِدْفي وَمحْتَدِي ولكِنْ نَفَى عني الرِّجالَ جَراءَتي
