النفسُ تبكي على الدنيا وقد علمت *** أن السعادة فيها ترك ما فيها

لا دارٌ للمرءِ بعد الموت يسكُنهـا***إلا التي كانَ قبل الموتِ بانيها

فإن بناها بخير طاب مسكنُـه *** وإن بناها بشر خاب بانيها

أموالنا لذوي الميراث نجمعُها ***ودورنا لخراب الدهر نبنيها

أين الملوك التي كانت مسلطــنةً***حتى سقاها بكأس الموت ساقيها

فكم مدائنٍ في الآفاق قـــد بنيت***أمست خرابا وأفنى الموتُ أهليها

لا تركِنَنَّ إلى الدنيا وما فيهـا ***فالموت لا شك يُفنينا ويُفنيها

لكل نفس وان كانت على وجــلٍ***من المَنِيَّةِ آمـــالٌ تقويهـــا

المرء يبسطها والدهر يقبضُهــا ***والنفس تنشرها والموت يطويها

إنما المكارم أخلاقٌ مطهـرةٌ ***الـدين أولها والعقل ثانيها

والعلم ثالثها والحلم رابعهــــا *** والجود خامسها والفضل سادسها

والبر سابعها والشكر ثامنها ***والصبر تاسعها واللين باقيها

والنفس تعلم أنى لا أصادقها ***ولست ارشدُ إلا حين اعصيها

واعمل لدار ٍغداً رضوانُ خازنها ***والجــار احمد والرحمن ناشيها

قصورها ذهب والمسك طينتها***والزعفـران حشيشٌ نابتٌ فيها

أنهارها لبنٌ محضٌ ومن عسـل ***والخمر يجري رحيقاً في مجاريها

والطيرتجري على الأغصان عاكفةً***تسبـحُ الله جهراً في مغانيها

من يشتري الدار في الفردوس يعمرها***بركعةٍ في ظــلام الليـل يحييها

في إحدى أركان مترو الأنفاق المهجورة
كان هناك صبي هزيل الجسم شارد الذهن

يبيع أقلام الرصاص ويشحذ

مرَّ عليه أحد رجال الأعمال
فوضع دولارا في كيسه ثم
استقل المترو في عجله،،،

وبعد لحظة من التفكير
,خرج من المترو مرة أخرى,

وسار نحو الصبي
و تناول بعض أقلام الرصاص
وأوضح للشاب بلهجة يغلب عليها الاعتذار
أنه نسي التقاط الأقلام التي أراد شراءها …

وقال: “إنك رجل أعمال
مثلي ولديك بضاعة تبيعها
وأسعارها مناسبة للغاية”

ثم استقل القطار التالي.،،،
بعد سنوات من هذا الموقف
وفي إحدى المناسبات
الاجتماعية تقدم شاب أنيق نحو رجل…
الأعمال وقدم نفسه له قائلا:

إنك لا تذكرني على الأرجح, وأنا لا أعرف حتى اسمك,
ولكني لن أنساك ما حييت. إنك أنت الرجل الذي أعاد
إلي احترامي وتقديري لنفسي.

لقد كنت أظن أنني (شحاذا)
أبيع أقلام الرصاص إلى أن جئت أنت
وأخبرتني أنني (رجل أعمال).
