يتفق أطباء النفس أنه لا يوجد هنالك أسبابٌ محددةٌ لاكتئاب الشتاء، ولكن التغيرات اليومية التي تحدث بدرجة الإضاءة تؤثر على نظام وإيقاع الجسم المتمثل بدورة النوم والإستيقاظ الطبيعية مما يؤدي إلى الشعور بالإكتئاب، فقلة التعرض لأشعة الشمس تقلل من نسبة الميلاتونين والسيروتونين بجسم الإنسان والذي يؤثر بدوره على نمط النوم ومزاج الشخص مما يزيد إحتمالية الشعور بالكآبة، وبدورنا سنقدم لكم مجموعةً من الفيتامينات والأغذية التي ستقضي على اكتئاب الشتاء وستبدله بشعور الفرح والسعادة: 1- فيتامين D: بإمكانك الحصول على فيتامين D من خلال تناول أغذيةٍ معينةٍ أو مكملاتٍ غذائيةٍ، كما يتم تصنيعه ذاتياً داخل جسم الإنسان عند التعرض لأشعة الشمس لمدةٍ كافيٍةٍ، وهو يعزز أيضاً من قوة العظام والعضلات، ويحافظ على صحة القلب، ويقلل من إحتمالية الإصابة بسرطان القولون، ويضمن أيضاً سلامة وصحة جهاز المناعة، بالإضافة إلى تأثيره القوي على إفراز هرمونات الجسم التي تلعب دوراً مهماً بمزاج الإنسان وتحسينه. 2- الدجاج: يعتبر الدجاج مصدراً غذائياً جيداً لفيتامين B6 أوالبيرودويكسين "Pyridoxine"، ويتوفر هذا الفيتامين ببذور القمح،
