إجتماع عسكري سري في لندن لبحث تسليح المعارضة السورية

كشفت صحيفة الأندبندنت البريطانية في عددها اليوم الثلاثاء إن تحالفا دوليا بشأن سوريا ومن ضمنه بريطانيا يعكف حاليا على وضع خطة مفصلة يقدم من خلالها التدريب العسكري لقوات المعارضة السورية اضافة الى إمدادها بالدعم الجوي والبحري.
وترى الأندبندت أن إحتمال التدخل الدولي يأتي في الوقت الذي إنضوت فيه المعارضة التي كانت مجزأة وغير منظمة تحت مظلة سياسية واحدة كما شكلت هيكلية قيادية واحدة لميليشياتها.
وترى الاندبندنت أن هناك إعتقادا يساور الجهات الخارجية التي تدعم المعارضة بأن الحرب المستمرة منذ إثنين وعشرين شهرا وصلت الى نقطة تحول ومن ثم بات من اللازم تقديم المساعدة للثوار لتمكينهم من شن هجوم أخير ضد النظام.
وتكشف الصحيفة في هذا الصدد أن رئيس أركان الجيش البريطاني السير الجنرال ديفيد ريتشاردز إستضاف قبل بضعة أسابيع إجتماعا سريا حضره قادة جيوش كل من فرنسا وتركيا والأردن وقطر والإمارات العربية المتحدة إضافة الى جنرال أمريكي رفيع نوقشت خلاله هذه الإستراتيجية بشكل مطول.
وتمضي الصحيفة قائلة إن الدوائر الحكومية الأخرى في بريطانيا ونظرائها في الدول الحليفة عقدت كذلك إجتماعات مكثفة بشأن هذه المسألة.
لكن الصحيفة ترى أن مصدر القلق الرئيسي بالنسبة إلى هذه الدول يتمثل في فصل الشتاء ووجود ملايين اللاجئين السوريين الذين يحتاجون إلى المساعدة.
لكن الاندبندنت تشير إلى إعتقاد متزايد عند الداعمين الغربيين للمعارضة بضرورة حدوث نوع من التدخل للتأثير على شكل المستقبل السياسي في سوريا في ظل النفوذ والسلطة التي تكتسبها بعض الجماعات الجهادية داخل المعارضة مثل جبهة النصرة التي ترتبط بالقاعدة بسبب تلقيها الأسلحة والأموال من دول الخليج مما يضع الجماعات الأخرى الأكثر علمانية في وضع غير مؤات.
وتنقل الصحيفة عن مسؤولين أمريكيين وبريطانيين قولهم إن الحكومات الغربية تشاطر روسيا قلقها من فوضى محتملة بعد رحيل الأسد يتسلم في خضمها من تصفهم بالجهاديين زمام المبادرة. وتخلص إلى أن الغرب يحتاج لمساعدة روسيا لمنع إنعطاف الأمور إلى هذا المسار.
