مقومات جيجل السياحية تجعل من مدينة خير الدين وبابا عروج منتجع خلاب للسياح والمصطافين كيف لا ومدينة جيجل العذراء، فهذه الولاية السياحية تتميز بخصائص طبيعية نادرة.
جمعت كل العناصر التي تؤهلها لأن تؤهلها لأن تكون قطبا سياحيا هاما حيث تزدان بساحل طوله 120 كلم يمتد من زيامة المنصورية غربا حتى وادي الزهور شرقا فضلا عن الغطاء الغابي حيث تزخر الولاية بثروة غابية كثيفة ومناظر طبيعية مذهلة إذ تغطي 81 بالمائة من المساحة الإجمالية للولاية إضافة إلى نقاوة بيئتها التي تتوفر على محميات طبيعية وحواجز مائية بها أنواع مميزة من الطيور والأعشاب الطبية التي يقل وجودها في أماكن أخرى.

وهي ذات موقع إستراتيجي هام محليا ودوليا،هذه المزايا السياحية التي تزخر بها الولاية أهلتها لإستقبال مئات الآلاف من المصطافين سنويا، وتزايد أعداد السياح يفرض علينا ضرورة وضع آليات جديدة من شأنها التكفل الأمثل بالمصطافين بتوفير كل الخدمات الضرورية لهم وتهيئة كل العوامل المساعدة لاستقطاب أكبر عدد ممكن من المصطافين، فالسياحة ثروة متجددة خلاف باقي الثروات الأخرى لذلك يجب ترقية هذا القطاع الحيوي الذي لم يعرف بعد الإنطلاقة الفعلية في غياب الثقافة السياحية واستثمار حقيقي في هذا الميدان.
أما فيما يخص المناطق السياحية الأكثر جذبا للسياح فتتوفر ولاية جيجل على 29 شاطئ يتميز بالانتظام والوعورة حيث يعتبر شاطئ ' زيامة المنصورية ' من بين أجمل شواطئ غرب مدينة جيجل.
نجد كذلك الحظيرة الوطنية لتازة بالقرب من تلك المنطقة حيث تعتبر هذه الأخيرة نقطة جذب للسياح الباحثين عن الراحة وهي تتربع على مساحة قدرها خمسة آلاف هكتار تتوزع بين بلديات زيامة المنصورية، العوانة، سلمى،إيراقن وتاكسنة، تتشكل أساسا من سواحل وصخرية وخلجان صغيرة وشواطئ رملية وتشكيلات غابية فاتنة هذه العوامل أهلتها لأن تكون قطب سياحي مزدوج الواجهة (البرية -البحرية).
وتحتوي الحظيرة الوطنية لتازة على 420 نوع من النباتات و134 نوع من الفطريات وكذلك 15 نوع من الثدييات وأهم ما يميزها كذلك غناها بعدد كبير من الطيور موزعة بين الجوارح والطيور المائية.
الكهوف العجيبة: وهي المكان الأكثر زيارة في المنطقة تقع بين العوانة وزيامة المنصورية وتعد من عجائب الطبيعة بفعل تشكيلات النوازل والصواعد الكلسية وقد إكتشفت عند فتح الطريق بين جيجل وبجاية سنة 1618 م، وهي الآن مجهزة ومفتوحة للزوار، حيث سجلت رقما قياسيا للزوار في الآونة الأخيرة.
الفنادق والمخيمات:
من أهم الهياكل الفندقية المتوفرة بالولاية يوجد حوالي 20 فندق مستغل وهي:
فندق لويزة، فندق البصرة، فندق النسيم، فندق السلام، فندق الجنة الزرقاء بأولاد بوالنار، الفندق الجليدي، وفندق كتامة بالإضافة إلى الفنادق التالية:
- فندق شوبة بزيامة المنصورية.
- فندق الصخر الأسود بالعوانة.
- فندق الآزردي بالطاهير .
- فندق الزمرد بتاسوست.
- فندق النيل بسيدي عبد العزيز.
- فندق ابن بطوطة بسيدي عبد العزيز.
المخيمات:
توجد مخيمات عائلية في كل من زيامة، المرجان،الشاطىء الأحمر، نفطال، الولجة، الكهوف العجيبة، الوئام بتازة، وفي العوانة كل من أفتيس ومريغة.
وفي سيدي عبد العزيز مخيم صخر البلح، مخيم واد عجول،ومخيم بني بلعيد.
هذا إلى جانب بيتين للشباب هما:
-بيت الشباب بالطاهير بقدرة إستيعاب خمسين سرير.
-بيت الشباب بالغريانة بتاكسنة بقدرة استيعاب خمسين سرير.
كما تتوفر الولاية على 19 منطقة للتوسع السياحي تتربع على مساحة 4878 هكتار تتوزع على طول الشريط الساحلي أهمها: رأس العافية، العوانة، واد الزهور، بني بلعيد.
