عبد الله بن سَلام [رضي الله عنه]/يهودي اسلم

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

عبد الله بن سَلام [رضي الله عنه]

عبد الله بن سلام هو عاشر عشرة في الجنة كما قال النبي [صلى الله عليه وسلم] . لقد كان من علماء اليهود ولما بُعث رسول الله [صلى الله عليه وسلم] وهاجر إلى المدينة آمن برسالته وصاحب رسول الله حتى إنه [صلى الله عليه وسلم] شهد له بالجنة .

كان عبد الله بن سلام قبيل إسلامه يسمى الحُصُين ولكن الرسول سماه عبد الله وهو ينتسب إلى نبي الله يعقوب ولأنه كان من علماء اليهود فقد كانت اليهود توقره وتحترمه لصلاحه وتقواه وصدقه واستقامته وكان يدعو الله أن يمد في عمره حتى يشهد بعثة الرسول الخاتم الذي بشرت به التوراة وكان يعلم أن الرسول [صلى الله عليه وسلم] سوف يخرجه قومه وأنه سوف يهاجر إلى المدينة المنورة التي كان يعيش فيها الحصين"عبد الله بن سلام" .

روى أنس [رضي الله عنه] أن عبد الله بن سلام أتى رسول الله [صلى الله عليه وسلم] حين قدم المدينة فقال:((إني سائلك عن ثلاث لا يعلمها إلا نبي, ما أول أشراط الساعة, وما أول ما يأكل أهل الجنة, ومن أين يشبه الولد أباه وأمه؟)) فقال له [صلى الله عليه وسلم] :((أما أول أشراط الساعة فنار تخرج من المشرق)) ولما أجابه رسول الله [صلى الله عليه وسلم] عما سأله عنه فقال عبد الله بن سلام:((أشهد أنك رسول الله)) .

ويحكي لنا عبد الله قصة إسلامه فحين قدم رسول الله [صلى الله عليه وسلم] المدينة ونزل في قباء جاء رجل فبشر بمقدم رسول الله وكان هو ومعه عمته خالدة وقال:((إنه كبَّر)) فتعجبت عمته وقالت له:((إنك لو سمعت أن موسى بن عمران جاء ما زدت عن ذلك)) فقال لها يا:((يا عمة إنه أخو موسى بن عمران وعلى دينه بعث)) وأسرع عبد الله إلى رسول الله وأعلن إسلامه وأمر أهل بيته فأسلموا ولكنه كتم إسلامه عن اليهود, وقال للرسول [صلى الله عليه وسلم] :((إن اليهود إذا سمعوا بإسلامي فسوف يتهمونني ويبهتونني)) وسأل الرسول [صلى الله عليه وسلم] اليهود عنه؟ فقالوا له:((إنه سيدنا وابن سيدنا وحبرنا وعالمنا)) فلما علمت اليهود بإسلامه سبوه واتهموه وهنا أظهر عبد الله إسلامه وأسلمت عمته أيضاً .

روى البخاري أن رسول الله [صلى الله عليه وسلم] كان يقول عنه:((إنه من أهل الجنة وإنه نزلت فيه الآية الكريمة"وشهد شاهد من بني إسرائيل على مثله")) حين حضرت الصحابي الجليل معاذ بن جبل [رضي الله عنه] الوفاة قيل له :((أوصنا)) فقال لهم:((أجلسوني)) ثم قال:((إن العلم والإيمان تجدوهما عند أربعة عويمر بن أبي الدرداء, وسلمان الفارسي, وعبد الله بن مسعود, وعبد الله بن سلام, الذي كان يهودياً فأسلم لأني سمعت رسول الله [صلى الله عليه وسلم] يقول"إنه عاشر عشرة في الجنة")) .

الرؤيا التي رآها

لقد رأى رؤيا قصها على رسول الله [صلى الله عليه وسلم] ,فقال له:((إنك على الإسلام حتى تموت)) .

تواضعه

ورغم أن عبد الله بن سلام كان من علماء اليهود وحين أسلم أصبح من المسلمين الذين بشروا بالجنة إلا أنه كان لا يعرف الكبر ولا التفاخر وكان يعمل بيده, فلقد مر في السوق وعلى ظهره حزمة من الحطب فقيل له:((لماذا لا تستأجر أحداً يحملها عنك؟)) فقال:((أردت أن أدفع الكبر فقد سمعت رسول الله [صلى الله عليه وسلم] يقول "لن يدخل الجنة من كان في قلبه مثقال ذرة من الكبر")) .
