لولا نواعسها ولولا لحظها .. ما ود مالك قلبه لو صيدا
إن أنت أبصرت الجمال ولم تهم ... كنت امرءا خشن الطباع بليدا
وإذا طلبت مع الصبابة لذة .... فلقد طلبت الضائع الموجودا

تكاد تضيء النار بين جوانحــــــــــي ..... إذا هي أذكتها الصــــــــــــــبابة والفكر
معللتي بالوصل ، والموت دونــــــــه ..... إذا مت ظـــــــــــــــــمآناً فلا نزل القطر !
حفظت وضيعت المودة بــــــــــــــيننا ..... وأحسن مــــــن بعض الوفاء لك الغدر
وما هذه الأيام إلا صــــــــــــــــحائف ..... لا حرفها من كف كـــــــــــــــــاتبها بشر
بنفسي من الغادين فى الحي ، غادة .... هواي لها ذنب وبهجتها عــــــــــــــذر
وفيت وفي بعض الوفاء مذلــــــــة .... لآنسة في الحي شيمتــــــــــــــها الغدر
تسائلني " من أنت " وهي عليمـة .... وهل بفتى مثلي على حاله نــــــــــــكر ؟
فقلت كما شاءت وشاء لها الهوى .... قتيلك .. قالت : أيهـــــــــــــــم فهم كثر !
فقلت لها : لو شئت لم تتعــــــنتي ... ولم تسألي عــــــــني ، وعندك بي خبر
