اليورانيوم الأمريكي وراء تشوّه المواليد في العراق
ذكرت مجلة "دير شبيغل" الألمانية أنه على الرغم من صمت آلة الحرب الأمريكية في العراق منذ سنوات، إلا أن مواليد البصرة والفلوجة يسجلون زيادة ملحوظة في حالات التشوه والإصابة بالسرطان، ما عزاه بعض الباحثين إلى الذخيرة التي إحتوت على يورانيوم مستنفذ وإستخدمها الجيش الأمريكي إبان غزوه للعراق.

ولفتت المجلة - في سياق تعليق أوردته على موقعها الإلكتروني أمس الثلاثاء - إلى ما وصفه شهود عيان من رؤية مخلوقات بعضها بعين واحدة أو برأسين أو بذيل، أو أطفال بهيئة كاملة لكن تحمل وجوه قرود، أو أطفال إناث إلتحمت أقدامهن فيما يشبه جذع السمكة فيما كان النصف العلوي آدمي، وغير ذلك من عجائب المخلوقات.

وذكرت المجلة أن حرب الخليج الأولى عام 1991 تمخضت عن حالات إصابة بالسرطان لكن ليس بالكم الذي تمخضت عنه الحرب الأمريكية على العراق عام 2003 التي أصيبت بها عائلات بأكملها، عازية السبب إلى استخدام القوات الأمريكية لليورانيوم المستنفذ، لأن ثمة إرتباطاً بين الإصابة بالسرطان والتعرض للإشعاع.

ورصدت المجلة إرتفاع نسبة الإصابات والتشوهات بين المواليد في البصرة أكثر من غيرها، معللة ذلك بأن اليورانيوم المستنفذ تم إستخدامه في هذه المدينة المنكوبة إبان الحربين سالفتي الذكر حيث شهدت ساحتها إنفجار 200 طن من الذخيرة التي تحتوي على يورانيوم مستنفذ.

ولفتت المجلة الألمانية في ختام تعليقها إلى أنه في الولايات المتحدة لم تقدم أي جريدة رئيسية على نشر ذلك أو التنويه من قريب أو بعيد عن الإضطرابات الجينية بمدينة الفلوجة التي أورثتها ذخائر اليورانيوم المستنفذ التي إستخدمتها القوات الأمريكية في العدوان على العراق.
