عن صفية أمّ المؤمنين "أنها جاءتْ رسولَ الله صلى الله عليه و سلم تزُورُه في اعتكافِه في المسجد في العشر الأواخر من رمضان فتحدّثتْ عنده ساعة ثم قامت تنقلب، فقام النبي صلى الله عليه و سلم يقلّبُها حتى إذا بلغت بابَ المسجد عند باب أمّ سلمة، مرّ رجلان من الأنصار فسلّمَا على رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم،
فقال لهما النبي صلى الله عليه و سلم: على رَسْلِكُمَا إنما هي صفية بنت حيي،
فقالا: سبحان الله يا رسول الله و كبُر عليهما،
فقال النبي صلى الله عليه و سلم: إنّ الشيطان يبلغ من الانسان مبلغ الدم و إني خشيتُ أن يقذِفَ في قلوبكما شيئاً".

من "المجالس التذكيرية" للشيخ العلامة السلفي "عبد الحميد بن باديس":

الألفاظ:
تنقلب: ترجع إلى بيتها- يقلبها: يردها و يمشي معها – على رسلكما: على هينتكما اي مشيتكما، الهينة التي لا عجلة فيها أي تسرعا – كبر عليهما: عظم و شقّ – يبلغ مبلغ الدم: يصل حيث يصل – أن يقذف: أن يرمي.
المعنى:
كان النبي صلى الله عليه و سلم يواظب على الاعتكاف في العشر الأواخر من رمضان، فجاءته زوجتُه صفية ليلة تؤانسه و تحادثُه، فلما أرادت الانصراف إلى بيتها قام معها النبيُ صلى الله عليه و سلم يؤنسها إلى بيتها، كما جاءت هي إليه، و بلغ معها بابَ المسجد، فمرّ بهما رجلان من الأنصار فأسرعا في مشيهما و استحييا لما رأيَا رسولَ الله صلى الله عليه و سلم، فخشيِي النبيُ صلى الله عليه و سلم عليهما من وسوسة الشيطان المسلّط على الانسان بأن يُلقي في قلوبهما شيئا من وجود امرأة مع النبي صلى الله عليه و سلم، و الشيطان يقنع بالخطرة يلقيها في قلب المؤمن يؤلمُه بها و لو كان صدق إيمانه يردّ عنه كيدَ الشيطان و يدفعه، و يقنع بإذاية المؤمن و لو بخطرة السوء تمرّ بالقلوب تمسّه في دينه أو عرضه، فأراد النبيُ صلى الله عليه و سلم أن يسدَّ في وجه الشيطان بابَ الكيد لذينك الرجلَين الصحابيين رضي الله عنهما و يقطع عليه طريقَ إذايتهما و إذايتِه معهما، فقال لهما: تمهّلا و لا تسرعا في مشيتكما، و أعلَمَهما بأنها زوجتُه صفية، و كان الصحابيان الجليلان لم يقعع في قلوبهما شيءٌ و لم يخطر أدنى خاطر منه في بالهما، فاستعظما و كبر عليهما و اشتدّ عليهما أن يظنّ النبي صلى الله عليه و سلم فيهما خطور مثل هذا ببالهِما حتى يحتاج إلى تعريفهما،و هما كانا يريان أنفسهما بصدق إيمانهما ابعدَ ما يكون عن هذا، فبيّن لهما النبي صلى الله عليه و سلم الداعي الذي دعاه إلى تعريفهما بالواقع و هو الخوف عليهما مما قد يكون بإلقاء الشيطان دون قصد منهما لا شيء هو واقع منهما، و بين لهما ما يعرفُهما بإمكان ذلك و سهولته بما جُعِل للشيطان من التمكن من إلقاء الوسواس للإنسان و بلوغه منه في الإحاطة و التمكن مبلغ الدم.
الأسوة – و لكم في رسول الله أسوة حسنة :
حماية الأعراض من التّهم:
كما على المسلم أن يقي عرضَه من طعنات الألسن بالسوء عليه، أن يقيه من هواجس النفوس به فإنّ الهواجس مبادئ الظنون، و الظنون مطايا الأقوال، و الأقوال سهامٌ نافذة،و قلّما يثبت غرض على كثرة الرّمي. و من خسر عرضَه خسر قيمته و خسر كل شيء، فلِخَطَر هذه النهاية لزم الاحتفاظ على العرض من تلك البداية.
فلا ينبغي للمسلم أن يُرى حيث تقع في أمره شبهة و تتوجّه عليه تهمة و لو كان عند نفسِه بريئا، و عما يُرمى به بعيدا. فليس الإنسان يعيش في هذه الدنيا لنفسه بل يعيش لنفسه و لإخوانه، و إذا تعرّضَ للتُّهم خسر نفسَه و خسر إخوانَه و أدخل على نفسه البلاء منهم و أدخل البلاء عليهم به، فكانت مصيبته على الجميع و ضرره عائدا على الإسلام و جماعة المسلمين خصوصا إذا كان المرء ممن يُقتدى به و يُرجَع إليه، فإن زوال الثقة به خسارة كبرى و هدم لأركانِ الدين و تعطيل لانتفاع الناس بالعلم و انتفاعه هو بعلمه،و إذا وقف الإنسانُ موقفاً مشروعا و خاف أن تتطرق إليه في خواطر الناس شبهة كان عليه أن يُبادر للتصريح بحقيقة حاله و التعريف بمشروعية موقفه .
و ليس لأحد، بعد رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم، أن يغترَّ بمنزلتِه عند الناس فلا يبالي بما قد يخطر لهم. بل ذو المنزلة أحقّ بالتبيين و التصريح لعظيم حاجة الناس إلى بقاء ثقتهم به و توقّفِ استفادتهم منه و قيامه بما ينفعهم على تلك الثقة.
قال الإمام ابن دقيق العيد رحمه الله :
( في الحديث دليلٌ على التحرّز مما يقع في الوهم نسبة الإنسان إليه مما لا ينبغي. و هذا متأكَّد في حق العلماء و من يُقتدى بهم، فلا يجوز لهم أن يفعلوا فعلا يوجب ظنَّ السوء بهم و إن كان لهم فيه مخلص، لأن ذلك سبب إلى إبطال الانتفاع بعلمهم.)
مدافعة الشيطان عن القلوب :
علينا- و قد علمنا أن الشيطان متمكّن من الوسوسة لنا من جميع نواحينا متصلا بنا اتصالا، و قريبا منا قربا مثل اتّصال و قرب الدم لا يمكننا الانفصال عنه كما لا يمكننا الانفصال عن الدم- أن نأخذَ جميعَ الحيطة لردّ كيده و إبطال تدبيره و إحباط وسوسته، و ذلك بالمبادرة إلى الاستعاذة بالله منه بالاستعاذة الثابتة عن النبي صلى الله عليه و سلم في الأحوال المختلفة، و بمقابلةِ كل نوع من وسوستِه بما يُبطله من ذكرِ الله، فإذا جاء من ناحية الإيمان بادرنا إلى لا إله إلا الله، و إذا جاء من ناحية التنزيه بادرنا إلى سبحان الله ، و إذا جاء من ناحية الإنعام بادرنا إلى الحمد لله، و إذا جاء من ناحية التخويف من الخلق بادرنا إلى الله أكبر، و هكذا نُبادر إلى ردّ ما يُوسوسُ به من كلمات الباطل إلى ضدّها من كلمات الحق، و كما على المؤمن أن يدفعَ ذلك عن قلبه ، عليه أن يدفعه عن قلب أخيه بمصارحتِه بما يزيل إساءة الظن به أو حمل شيء عليه، أو نفرة من ناحيته أو إشغال لأمره، و أن يُبيّنَ له ما يقصد بذلك من مدافعة الشيطان و ردِّه عن نفسه و عن أخيه ليكون عوناً له على قصده فيرجع الشيطانُ عنهما مذؤماً مدحوراً.
و هذه المدافعة للشيطان و حماية القلوب منه من أعظمِ الجهاد و أوجبِه و الزمه، بل هي أصل الجهاد كله فإنه هو أصلُ البلاء كله، فالسلامة منه هي السلامة من كل سوء، و التمكن من نيل كل خير، و الفوز بكل سعادة في الدنيا و الآخرة (1)

قال الإمام ابن دقيق العيد في الإحكام :

وفي الحديث دليل : على هجوم خواطر الشيطان على النفس ; وما كان من ذلك غير مقدور على دفعه : لا يؤاخذ به . لقوله تعالى { لا يكلف الله نفسا إلا وسعها } ولقوله عليه السلام في الوسوسة التي يتعاظم الإنسان أن يتكلم بها " ذلك محض الإيمان " وقد فسروه : بأن التعاظم لذلك محض الإيمان . لا الوسوسة . كيفما كان ، ففيه دليل على أن تلك الوسوسة لا يؤاخذ بها . نعم في الفرق بين الوسوسة التي لا يؤاخذ بها ، وبين ما يقع شكا : إشكال ، والله أعلم .
