الفزان الفلبيني الملقب بالطاووس

موطن هذا الطائر في جزيره بالاوان في الفلبين
حيث انه اصبح

من النادر جدا فيهــا.يتواجد هذا الطائر غالبا في الجزيره في
الاماكن الرطبه والمناطق الساحلية المنخفضه والغابات العميقه
واحيانا في الجبــال الذكور لها قمه بلون ازرق معدني براق
وخطوط بيضاء تحت وفوق العين
بقيه الرأس والرقبه والصدر لونهم
اسود.واطراف الاجنحه سوداء اما باقي الظهــر فلونه ازرق براق
ومنتصف الظهر اللون مائل للارجواني
والذ يل طويل نسبيا وعليه
بقع زرقاء مائله للون الاخضر لونها رائع جدا وتعطي شكلا خلاب
لذيل هذا الطائر
اما الاناث فهي اصغر حجما من الذكور.ولا يوجد لها قمه
او عرف علي رأسهــا.ولونها بني ووجهها وحلقها
يوجد عليهم اللون الابيــض

يتواجد هذا الطائر في معظم انحاء امريكـــا الشماليـــه الغربيـــه في شرق
مونتانا وكولورادو وجنوب ولايه نيفادا وكاليفورنيا الشماليه الشرقيــه
ويتواجد هذا الطائر في التلال والمنحدارت والسهـــول الجبليــه
حيث نبات الميـــرميــه
و يتراوح تعداد هذه الطائر
بحوالي 150.000 طائر

جميع الجسم ملون بلون معين باستثناء الهلال الذي بالصدر
والريش الأساسي للهلال يجب أن يكون لونه أبيض ثلجي
ولون الذيل هو غير ذو صلة تماما
الطول : يبلغ طول هذه السلالة ما بين 40 و 45 سم وذلك
حسب الجنس
والكرة تشكل زاوية بين 30 و 45 درجة
ونسب ما يقارب 3/5 بشأن الجبهة
و 2/5 بالنسبة للأرجل

هذه السلالة معروفة في وقت مبكر في 1877
وفقا لتقرير الهيئة الدولية للطيور
هادئة جدا
وتطير قليلا
إما الطوفان بهدوء ، أو
إما عن طريق البر بحثا عن الغذاء الذكر والأنثى متطابقة
من الصعب التفريق بينهما
يستطيع الصغار الإعتماد على أنفسهم بعد 16 يوم من الفقص
وعشها يكون على علو واحد متر على الأقل من الأرض
تسكن في 300 إلى 1،200 متر فوق مستوى سطح البحر
يصل طولها حوالي 30 سم

منشـــأ هذا الطائر واماكن تواجده في الجنــــوب الافريقي بشكل عام
وصـــف الطائر
يصل طول هذا الطائر من 12_13 سم
اضافة الى الذيل ليصل طولة الى 20 سم.
لون رأسه اسود وابيض و لون منقاره احمــر. والحلق
لونه ابيـــض .وساقيه سوداء والظهر اسود اللون وعيــونه
بنيه.وأجنحته بنيه داكنة مع بقع بيضـــاء وهذا للذكور

يبلغ طوله حوالي 55 سم , أي ما يعادل
مالك الحزين بحجم صغير , منقاره ورجليه حمراء
ريشه أزرق رمادي طويل , تضع الأنثى بية فريدة
طولها ما بين 6 إلى 7 سم
كان مطلوبا جدا في أوائل 1900 بسب ريشه الخلاب
