أسماء جديدة على لائحة سرية للأشخاص الذين يتعين على الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية قتلهم
ذكرت صحيفة وول ستريت جورنال أن "مسؤولين عسكريين كبارا، ومن أجهزة الإستخبارات الأمريكية، إقترحوا أن يدرجوا في لائحة سرية للأشخاص الذين يتعين قتلهم بينهم مختار بلمختار، الذي أعلن مسؤوليته عن الهجوم على منشأة عين أمناس للغاز جنوب شرق الجزائر".

ونقلت الصحيفة عن مسؤولين أمريكيين، طلبوا عدم الكشف عن هوياتهم، أن "إضافة إسم بلمختار الى هذه اللائحة يعني توسيع مجال العمل العسكري للولايات المتحدة في شمال غرب إفريقيا، عبر توسيع المنطقة التي تستهدفها الطائرات من دون طيار وعمليات مكافحة الإرهاب".

وأوضحت الصحيفة أن "هذه الخطوة يمكن أن تستند إلى وحدات القوات الخاصة للجيش بمساعدة من وكالة الإستخبارات المركزية الأمريكية cia"، مضيفة أنه "منذ إعتداءات 11 سبتمبر 2001، لا تكشف الحكومة الأمريكية عن لوائح الأشخاص الذين يتعين القبض عليهم أو قتلهم".

وتمتلك وزارة الدفاع الأمريكية ووكالة الإستخبارات المركزية الأمريكية لوائح منفصلة أدرجت فيها أسماء قادة متطرفين كزعيم القاعدة أيمن الظواهري، وزعيم القاعدة في الجزيرة العربية السعودي إبراهيم حسن العسيري، وأسامة بن لادن قبل مقتله.
