عشر وصايا للأمهات
الوصية الأولى: اقتربي منه.
طفلك بحاجة إلى من يجيبه على أسئلته الكثيرة وغيابك عنه قد يدفعه نحو اللجوء إلى شخص آخر، لكن ليس هنالك في الدنيا كلها من يحسن الاستماع إليه وتوجيهه مثلك.
الوصية الثانية: اثبتي على مبدأ.
ما لم تمتنعي عن التساهل مع طفلك لا تتوقعي منه أن يلتزم بإتمام واجباته الدينية والحياتية في أوقاتها وإكمالها في مواعيدها.
إن ثباتك على مبدأ في يوم وتراخيك عنه في اليوم التالي من شأنه أن يربك الطفل ويشتته ويجعل تصرفاته غير مستقرة مستقبلاً.
الوصية الثالثة: تفهمي موقفه.
قد يقول طفلك: إنه لا يتقبل شخصاً ما في المدرسة بدلاً من قطع الطريق عليه ونصحه بالكف عن ذلك، اسأليه عن سبب عدم هذا التقبل، بذلك تعطينه المجال للشكوى مما يضايقه والتنفيس عن غضبه فتعود الراحة إلى النفس.
الوصية الرابعة: أسندي إليه واجباًَ منزلياً.
شعور الطفل بأنه جزء من الأسرة يدفعه إلى المشاركة مع بقية أفرادها في تحمل المسئولية.
دعي طفلك يساعد في ترتيب غرفته أو في تجهيز المائدة أو في تنسيق الحديقة، هذه الأعمال التي تنمي روح المبادرة وتعزز الثقة بالنفس سوف تجعل طفلك يشعر بقيمته.
الوصية الخامسة: امتنعي عن الشجار في حضوره.
سماع أو مشاهدة طفلك نقاشاً حاداً بين والديه يجعله في غاية الحزن، ويؤثر سلباً على تصرفاته الحاضرة أو المستقبلية. لا تعرضي مشاكلك أمام طفلك فمشاكل الكبار للكبار وحدهم.
الوصية السادسة: استمعي إليه.
لا تفرضي طريقة تفكيرك على طفلك بشكل قاطع ونهائي بل استمعي دائماً إلى وجهة نظره وتحدثي معه كي تعرفي ماذا يدور في ذهنه.
الوصية السابعة: لا تسخري منه.
إذا ارتكب طفلك خطأ ما لا تعاقبيه بسخرية ولا تجعلي منه أضحوكة أمام الآخرين، فمن شأن ذلك أن يفقده الثقة بالنفس ويجرده من أي رغبة في تحسين تصرفاته وأيضاً قد يتسبب ذلك في إصابته بحرج نفسي يصعب علاجه فيما بعد.
الوصية الثامنة: لا تكثري من مقارنته بغيره.
هناك مضار عديدة لأسلوب التربية الذي يعتمد على إيقاظ الغيرة بين الأطفال، فترداد القول: "فلان أكثر منك اجتهاداً...إلخ" فهو يزرع الكراهية في قلب الطفل ضد الشخص الذي يقارن به، وتكون المشكلة أكثر تعقيداً في حال كانت المقارنة بين الإخوة.
الوصية التاسعة: لا تخصصي لكل طفل غرفة.
يرى خبراء علم النفس أن تخصيص غرفة نوم لكل طفل بالأمر الحسن؛ لأن الغرفة الخاصة تمثل ثغرة للهروب من المشاركة مع باقي أفراد الأسرة.. فحصول الطفل على غرفة خاصة وتلفاز خاص يشجعه على الانعزال فتنمو أنانيته ويفقد روح الانتماء إلى الأسرة، فيحرر نفسه مستقبلاً من واجباته نحوها.
الوصية العاشرة: أشعريه بحبك.
إذا حقق طفلك شيئاً تفتخرين به اغمريه أنت ووالده بالإطراء، فالطفل بحاجة إلى الحب والحنان والاحترام. دعي طفلك يشعر دائماً بمدى عاطفتك نحوه حتى في أوقات العقاب.
