قاعدتان جويتان دائمتان لفرنسا في مالي
بدأ خبراء من الجيش الفرنسي الإعداد لتجهيز قاعدتين جويتين في مالي تبدآن العمل خلال أشهر، وكشف مصدر سياسي موثوق، أن الإجراء يهدف إلى الإبقاء على قوات جوية ضاربة في مالي يمكنها التعامل مع تهديد الجماعات الجهادية التي مازالت قوية وقادرة على تكرار حملتها التي أدت إلى طرد الجيش المالي من مدن الشمال، وأضاف المصدر، الذي طلب عدم الكشف عن هويته، أن مستشارين عسكريين فرنسيين بدأوا التحضير لإنشاء قاعدتين جويتين فرنسيتين في الأراضي المالية من أجل مواصلة دعم القوة الإفريقية بالطيران الحربي، وأوضح أن هذا الإجراء يأتي بعد أن أبلغت عدة دول - مشاركة بقواتها في الحملة العسكرية في إطار القوة الإفريقية وأيضا دول مجاورة لمالي - فرنسا بمخاوفها من إنهيار الوضع الأمني بعد إنسحاب القوات الفرنسية من المنطقة، وحسب المصدر نفسه، فإن الفرنسيين طلبوا من حكومة باماكو السماح لهم باستغلال مهبط طائرات وقاعدة لوجيسيتة في محيط مدينة تمبكتو وسط وموقع عسكري في منطقة كيدال إلى الشمال الشرقي، وتخطط فرنسا لإبقاء ما لا يقل عن ألف عسكري فرنسي في مالي بعد إتمام إنسحاب القوات القتالية البرية من هذا البلد من أجل مواصلة الحرب ضد المسلحين ودعم القوة الإفريقية التي توجد في مالي، حسبما أوضح المصدر ، وأضاف أن القوات التي تخطط فرنسا لإبقائها في شمال مالي تتنوع بين قوات تدريب تشرف على تكوين القوات المالية والإفريقية بالإضافة إلى وحدات نخبة خاصة وطياري طائرات قتال وطائرات نقل وأطقم لتسيير طائرات التجسس بدون طيار، بالإضافة إلى عناصر أمن ومخابرات.
