"وابل من النيازك" ضرب منطقة الأورال الروسية
ضرب وابل من النيازك منطقة الأورال بروسيا، مما أدى إلى وقوع العديد من الجرحى .
وقالت وزارة الطوارئ الروسية في وقت لاحق إن 400 شخصا على الأقل أصيبوا بجروح جراء سقوط النيازك، إصابات 3 منهم خطيرة.
وأضافت الوكالة أن الحادث تسبب بأضرار في ست مدن.
وكان بالإمكان رؤية النيازك على بعد مئات الكيلومترات قبل أن تضرب منطقة الأورال.

وقال سكان منطقة شيليابينسك إن الأرض إهتزت والنوافذ تحطمت وإنطلقت أجهزة الإنذار في السيارات فترة سقوط النيازك.
وذكر شاهد في مدينة يكاترينبرغ التي تقع جنوب شرقي شيليابينسك بمسافة 200 كم تقريبا إنه أمكن مشاهدة سقوط القطع النيزكية في المدينة.
وقال الشاهد "كنت أقود سيارتي وأتوجه إلى عملي قبل طلوع الشمس، ولكن فجأة أصبحت الدنيا مضيئة كالنهار."
وقال المكتب المحلي لوزارة الطوارئ إن "نيزكا تفتت فوق الأورال واحترق جزئيا في الطبقات السفلى من الغلاف الجوي ووصلت أجزاء منه إلى الأرض حيث سقطت في مناطق فيها القليل من السكان في شيليابينسك".
وحثت السلطات في مدينة شيليابينسك السكان على إلتزام منازلهم وتجنب الخروج إلا لجلب أطفالهم من المدارس ورياض الأطفال.
وقالت إن إنفجارا سمع من إرتفاع 10 كلم مما يشير إلى أن النيزك تفتت عند دخوله الغلاف الجوي.
وقال مسؤول في الوزارة إن وابل النيازك الذي سقط في الأورال قد تكون له علاقة بالكويكب الذي ينتظر أن يمر على مسافة 27,520 كم من الأرض في وقت لاحق اليوم الجمعة، ولكن لم يتسن تأكيد ذلك.
وكانت آخر مرة تعرضت فيها روسيا لهذا النوع من الحوادث في عام 1908، عندما سقط كويكب في سيبريا مما ألحق دمارا واسعا بمساحة ناهزت 2000 كلم مربع.
